I agree but I think most of us agree that Nathan is getting a title shot because of the Matchroom-Sauerland connection. Braehmer will batter him anyway. Cleverly was never a legit champion and to think he could be, with Stevenson and Kovalev up there right now, is just pie in the sky. Cash in while you've got a decent hand.
Beating Braehmer wouldn't make Cleverly a legit champion regardless of how good either is, it's just another plastic WBA belt, Kovalev is the WBA champion.

Nathan was as legit a champ as Braehmer was, surely Cleverly was injured in the Bellew rematch and if he goes into a fight with Juergen injury free and can maintain that high work rate he used to then he can upset Braehmer's rhythm
I've mentioned many times I like Braehmer but he can be outhustled by lesser fighters than Cleverly,I'm sure it was the Gutknecht fight where Braehmer kept throwing himself to the ground and complaining to the ref
,also last night Krasniqi caught him with countless flush right hands
It all depends how Nathan copes back down at LHW really

Getting destroyed by Kovalev doesn't mean that you aren't world level. Cleverly was clearly injured from very early on in the Bellew fight.
Cleverly has beaten: Murat, Mohammedi, Bellew & Karpency. They're all currently top 15ish ranked fighters.
His record isn't great, but it is enough to show that he is/was world level.

Braehmer has beaten top class boxers as an amateur and gets well paid regardless who he boxes - the English system?
Germany's worse than England.

If anyone wants to believe Cleverly is/was world level then fair dues, everyone has an opinion. In my book Cleverly was a decent Euro level fighter.
He got gifted the WBO belt meaning he never beat a champion, and he never defended against a single former champion or anyone at world level in his four defences - Bellew, Karpency, Hawk and Krasniqi before Kovalev made him look like a little boy doing the crazy frog dance.
I'm not that bothered if he gets a shot or not but he's not a world level fighter. He hasn't even fought at LHW for about 18 months.

Who is world level at light heavyweight then?
You seem to be overly elitist about who qualifies as a world level fighter.

I haven't mentioned any names for you to draw that conclusion. I've just stated that Cleverly isn't world level for me. I'd actually suggest that you are probably too quick to qualify a fighter to world level.

Name all of the light heavyweights that you consider to be at world level then and prove me wrong.

I know you love making lists Horse but I don't. It's not about proving anyone right or wrong. You think he's at world level and I don't. Watching his last 20 fights is enough for me instead of making pointless lists.

Pointless? Are there even five fighters on your list? Is Braehmer on the list?
Cleverly is a more proven world level fighter than Braehmer.
