Didn't an interviewer once have to explain to him who Roberto Duran was?

I had a feeling Yegorov could be a dark horse, he is from Ukraine after all not Serbia. If he can overcome size difference he can cause an upset.

i found it quite refreshing. Its his job, some boxers (or say footballers like David Batty famously) treat it as nothing more. As long as they approach it professionally what's the problem? God us boxing geeks can be demanding
the fvckers are slogging.their guts out and they are, what, supposed.to spend their spare time gaying out over Willie pep clips on youtube?
id much prefer that than boxers pretending they love the sport when its clearly nothing more than their own vehicle for fame and nothing more

Padded record on paper but yegrov is giving it a good go.
I think inactivity will impact him later.

I know what you mean, and I don't expect boxers to have an encyclopedic knowledge of the sport. Just thought it was odd not to have even heard of a very famous predecessor. McDonnell would certainly not be welcome on my pub quiz team

true enough , but as a boxing fan feel i have nothing in common with him , we know when we think about it they are all prize fighters. but we ignored that, and we feel they are fighting for their blood, country, people. tell me when you see morales v pacquiao you diddnt think what pride these men have
