Re: Beterbiev calls out Kovalev after destroying Campillo
Beterbiev isn't as good as Kovalev. That's just a simple fact.

I agree if we are talking about skills. However, Beterbiev might have a better chin which could be a decisive factor. We won't know until they fight.5burowz wrote:Beterbiev isn't as good as Kovalev. That's just a simple fact.

We'll see what you have to say after Kovalev is knocked out.5burowz wrote:Beterbiev isn't as good as Kovalev. That's just a simple fact.

Has Beterbiev gotten hit flush by someone like Jean Pascal yet?ikorolev wrote:I agree if we are talking about skills. However, Beterbiev might have a better chin which could be a decisive factor. Nope, which is why I said "might". However, he was fighting cruiserweights in amateurs and he wasn't dropped. When fighting Usyk, Beterbiev was the agressor even though less skilled. Looked sort of like Lara vs Canelo, and amateur judges of course scored for the technician Usyk. Kovalev, was one the other hand stopped at light heavy in amateurs.5burowz wrote:Has Beterbiev gotten hit flush by someone like Jean Pascal yet?ikorolev wrote:I agree if we are talking about skills. Talk to me when the Biev is able to beat someone the likes of Hopkins or Pascal. This isn't the amateurs, dingus.

This isn't the amateurs though.
I love how certain folk want to point to the amateurs to make some kind of argument when it really means jack shit.

Oh I will 5Burros. I will remember to tell you..."I told you so" when Kovalev fights Beterbiev and ends up crumpled on the canvas.5burowz wrote:Talk to me when the Biev is able to beat someone the likes of Hopkins or Pascal. Re: Beterbiev calls out Kovalev after destroying Campillo
Beterbiev looks pretty tough/durable but IMHO he takes too many flush shots and he may have been able to do that with Campillo while walking him down but I'm not so sure he'd be able to eat all those type of flush/open shots from Kovalev.
I gotta give BB his credit though, he has some huge balls with only 8 bouts to call out Kovalev. I haven't heard any responses whatsoever from Kov yet but I suspect that's only because he has bigger fish to fry now that Superman has exorcised the Kryptonite out of Bika.

Usyk was the person (as well as Lomachenko) that really stood out in the London Olympics. Beterbiev seems a really solid physical specimen and he obviously has concussive power. The Kovalev bout is one to look forward too alright.
Re: Beterbiev calls out Kovalev after destroying Campillo
Beterbiev isn't ready for Kovalev.
