yeah it is his a nice tough lad pearce funny aswell. I think we hav heard about the same fight i was shocked after one turned it down b4 but it looks on and tasty.

Another shitty 8 rounder as the main event that won't go past 2 rounds. This is a disgrace. Skysports need to grow a pair and not show this shite, where is the quality controll? they are not acting in the best interest of there subscribers. When Hearn launched fightpass this was exactly the type of show that he said would be shown on it. The only way this show becomes semi acceptable is if Joshua fights a half decent brit like lewinson or towers and not some journeyman like in Newcastle.

No chance of that happening either when hes got Johnson on May 30th on the only show Matchroom seem to care about.......oh because its pay per view.

Eggington fighting for the vacate Commonwealth title against Joseph Lampty.

Some of the non Matchroom lads on the undercard have opponenets confirmed but still don't know who Gamal Yafai, Macklin, Callum Smith or Rose will be facing.

Macklin, Smith & Rose still don't have an opponent at this stage? Is there really any point in them getting in the ring because i can't imagine they'll actually be involved in a fight!

Sam gives value for money, expect him to steal the show yet again.

Yeah I expect that, having seen Sam fight a few times on small hall shows earlier in his career it'll be nice to see him win his first proper title on the big stage

Exactly, I was hoping they'd maybe throw Macklin and Rose to the wolves and put them in together (Rose is going up to middleweight) but thats not gonna happen.

Surely the bbbc will be watching the level of opponents that 2 recent world title challengers will be facing

Don't get me wrong it'll be nice to see Luke Campbell live but anoither 6/8 round walk over is not what this fight needed.

Even the non matchroom local lads are involved in pretty standard work outs.

Now I know Matchroom aren't gonna put anyone in a competitive fight this late notice (or ever till they can cone an additional £20 out of you) but I'd have much preffered a decent 50/50 Midlands area/English title fight than adding another decent name but in a nothing fight.

Wonder how the PBC fights fit in ? Only fight I am interested in all night is Kameda v McDonnell I fear Figuroa is going to obliterate Burns

And me, I'd expect the Brum card will be messed around with to suit anyway...que lots of sitting around watching nothing in the arena.

I'd expect Sky are only fussed about showing Joshua and maybe Eggington from Brum. They can show the highlights of the other walk overs later or something.

Looks like Campbell v TBA has replaced Rose v TBA actually.

Although no official announcement, the communication from Matchroom over this show and all its pull outs and changes has been awful.

Declan Geraghty has broke his hand and is off the card. I was excited to see him live and intended to get down early in order to see him, oh well, more time in the pub

It seems Kal Yafai's opponent has changed as well? I thought he was fighting a big hitting filipino, but it seems he is now fighting a 35 year old Ghanian, Isaac Quaye (27(18)-10(1)-1), who has lost his last three inclduing Walled Din (PTS6) and Paul Economides (KO2)

yeah the Yafai Megrino fight was scrapped last week sometime, Kal had some sort of injury in training but now ok, seemed they didnt want to risk the Megrino fight (was the only decent matched fight on the card). Quaye's been over here and lost to Satchell hasn't he?

Really good competitive card with loads of local interest, looking forward to it a lot more than this Brum card satirday.

Better memory than mine . It was only 14 months ago as well, a very clear UD12

The fans who've bought tickets for this show have been shafted royally. At least watching on Sky you'll get the fights from Texas.

Much as I like watching Sam Eggington, this is a real flash back to a few years ago: an average Commonwealth title fight heading a card full of names and prospects in nothing 8/6 rounders.

Doubt Yafai and maybe Macklin will even get on SKY beyond "highlights" - as they'll have Eggington, AJ, Campbell, Burns, McDonnell and probably Callum Smith to show before them.

To make things even, Frank and Co have decided to put an equally mundane card on the same night (although Buglioni-Markham might deliver in a "good Southern Area type fight" kind of way).
