Edward James Hearn is a bona fide director of Matchroom Sport, and Barry has said himself he runs the boxing side of things on his own, so this fallacy of him being "paid by daddy" is utter nonsense. Without Eddie ' s passion for boxing Matchroom Sport would not be in the game, they'd be focusing on darts...

Obviously - but to say that he gets 'paid by daddy' is just plain wrong.

Barry's in charge.Dont be fooled. Boxing is relatively speaking a small part of the empire.
Don't get me wrong Eddie is ok but when all of the ground works scaffolding and first phase are in situ it's hard to fornicate it up.
Still he'd be a good mortgage punter !

Odd that someone with such a perchant for Googling would miss the fact that Hearn is a director of the company and therefore pays himself, rather than receives an income from Daddy, but there we are.

I know loads of Directors - and I'm sure you do as well - that have zero say in the running of a business.

First it was Mickey Duff then it was allegedly currently it's Eddie all saviours of boxing.
Who knows where we'll be when the contract expires in 5 years.
