I've got to add my voice to those who would have wanted to see Herol Graham take a belt.

I would like to have seen Riddick Bowe beat Lewis in the early '90's, and lose a 3-4 fight series over 10 years that would have enhanced both mens legacies.

Somebody said 'Holmes to land that uppercut before Tyson knocked him out'. I wonder, if Holmes had held Tyson off long enough to shake off the rust, how would that fight have panned out??? We saw what Holmes was still capable of years later and Tyson was doing some serious whining to Kevin Rooney between rounds before he found Holmes' temple with that right hand.

I remember Holmes getting up on his toes popping the jab and dancing around the ring for about a minute and Tyson couldn't get close to him. Of course, old Larry soon slowed down to a standstill and that's when Tyson got him.

Tyson v Foreman was very close to being signed at one point - and according to sources I used to have when I was writing about boxing (their names escape me now) - who had no discernible reason to lie - Tyson absolutely point blank refused to fight Foreman - apparently he said something along the lines of.

"You think he's some big cuddly old guy - but that guy is a killer - there's no way I'm fighting him."

It kind of makes sense, Tyson was a real boxing historian - and George's reputation probably had him in awe, despite the fact George wasn't that guy any more - but also, Tyson was no longer at his peak at that time either - and it is just possible George would have weathered that Early assault, and broken Mike's heart.

That would have been pretty brutal. Tua was one hell of a puncher, and had a great chin.

The peak version of Tyson would have taken him apart - too quick and too agile - but the latter day version was more hittable, and more orthodox is his approach. Could have been a defeat for Mike, as Tua would not have been bombed out of there quickly, and would have been hitting back hard. Mike was always an 'on-top' guy, who never was able to rebound once a fight turned against him.

Reid v Benn and Eubank would have been intriguing.

Always felt Robin was a bit unfortunate - he ran Calzaghe very close, but was never really able to secure any big fights after that, he was a smart boxer with a good dig, and a very very good dig. I was gutted that both the ref and judges shafted him against Ottke - he won the fight hands down, even with the terrible officiating. He was close to getting DQ'd despite not fouling Ottke once. If I was him I would have knocked the ref out, cheating bent scumbag.

By the time Reid got to Lacy, he was inactive, and no longer in love with the sport.

Yeah I agree. With these Dad vs Son fights, the intersting question is at what parallel point would they have been competitive. Due to age differences there has to be a point.

Eg Floyd Mayweather Snr would at some point have beaten his dad. Even if it was only when Floyd was 14.

To be fair, I'd say 95% of the posters on the B&I board show the correct amount of respect for both the sport in general & the boxers who have competed.

But I'd definitely agree that a good number of the regular CS posters deserve to face Wlad in a 12 rounder.
