I'm not sure Ali-Norton II or III fall into the controversial category... I think either man could have got the nod in either fight. I'd respect a POV from either side.
Pac - Bradley I was a terrible decision in my opinion. But then again there are posters I respect who honestly believe Tim deserved the win.
Eubank seemed to get a few gift decisions...

elmersalsa wrote:I have scored the Ali vs Norton II fight once more. There's no way that the great Muhammad Ali won that fight. Ken Norton had the cleaner punches and was punishing Ali with body shots. He had him in trouble on the ropes in many occasions.
I scored it 116-115, Norton. Norton in my view, won the 3 fights.
i disagree ali won fight #2

I watched about 5 times. Norton got him on the ropes and made a work out of The Greatest. And I am an Ali fan

Elmer....it's ok, they were controversial fights. A lot of times when a fight is one by just one or two rounds, diversity of opinion is a result.
But none of the judges have ever gone on record recanting their decision. And a few have doubled down a few times, and even given their reasoning...about what they saw. Just as you have.
Oh....and the Ref's went with Ali....that's a pretty up front birds eye view to argue with.
And when your bestest buddy goes on the record as saying you won...but by just one round (this in the third fight).....and expressing understanding as to how other's might have seen it differently, it sort of highlights the fact that it was close....and it ended up being ruled in one (or the other's ) favor.
But not with any bias.
So...maybe just maybe....they were just close fights, that the judges happened to honestly disagree with you on.

Martinez won this fight that was really close. The knockdown was the clincher in a close fight. Martinez won 116-114 on points and 5-4-3 in rounds. Was the Don King influence connection saved Nelson? I don't know. But, Martinez was robbed outright!

Watching these fights give me a better insight of some great fighters in their all time rankings in a weight class or p4p.

I would add Douglas-Tyson here.
Fortunately, the bad scoring had no impact as it did not go to scorecards, but I wonder how was it possible that the moment of stoppage only one judge had Douglas winning the fight...

Watched it in a pub and the whole joint went ballistic when the draw was announced. It was blatantly obvious who won this fight

I thought Benn v Eubank 2 was spot on scoring wise.
Benn edged it, but with the point deduction, I thought a draw was a fair result.
