Hope it does go well but still think the venue is too big. If gavin had beaten van heerden and was on the verge of a title shot it would have been much different.

Tbf everyone is talking about the main event i expect my lads to do at least double this time and there are more fights where both sides are selling and its all midlands guys no big names who are good but dont really add to ticket sales
I think it will sell very well from the feedback iv had so far

He's far from that to be fair.

Should have got spike in (Ireland v ireland) but I think most ppl believe he takes out Macklin pretty easy....also if gavin loses his career at is over, even at 140 whereas sam has nothing to lose

Macklin was never world class. Euro level at best and i dont say that as a criticism. He now has too many miles on the clock and is too sluggish at this stage of his career, shipping too many punches.

His career has been hampered by a lack of power and im really concerned by him fighting at 11st so late in his career. The end is definitely looming and as someone on here alluded to, if the fight goes a few rounds then Macklin could be in trouble.

A good talker and a decent self-publicist. I wish the lad well though.

Yeah I'd agree with this definte buzz about this across the midlands. Was at the match last night (Wolves so not even a Birmingham club) and few people asked me about going/tickets etc.

Just seen on the schedule that Macklin is lined up to fight (TBA) this coming Friday, on an MGM show in Marbella.
