A man with the sense to never fight Golovkin.

as yet unproven, I'd say....
Yes plus I feel looking at Alvarez's record he's only recently stepped up to the highest level.
Prior to Mayweather he was fighting a lot of blown up welterweights, making them come upto 154lbs and out-weighing them massively on fight night. Best wins were when he finally fought actual 154lbers and eeked out wins over Trout (fight was a lot closer than the cards IMO) and Lara.
Lara and Trout were excellent wins and fair play to him there. But the Kirkland and Angulo fights flattered him; especially Kirkland IMO. Kirkland had been out of the ring almost two years and there seemed like there was nothing on his punches. Just looked a shadow of the guy who took out Angulo in an amazing fight.

Golvokin for me, definitely - if it's made at Middleweight.
If it's at a catchweight, we don't know how that could affect Golvokin. So I really wouldn't be able to say.

I'd say at 158, Golovkin would still win, however, not sure how much further GGG could drain without depleting himself. GGG isn't huge at the weight, but obviously there's still going to be an effect from dehydrating.
