Agree. I had to fight Froch's corner left right and centre in that aftermath. His post fight interview was poor but he'd just been in a barnstormer and took some incredible punishment. Still, the worst Froch survived the best of Groves IMO.

Still, he was comforted by the fact he got revenge in Wembley, in front of 80,000 people. He doesn't like to talk about it though, he's as tight lipped as Uncle Albert with his war stories.

You could just as easily say it was a shame for Groves as he would have gone on to an amazing win.

You don't know what would have happened & neither does anyone else.

It was a shame for all of us. Foster robbed us all (except for the bank balances of those involved in the rematch).

Absolutely, and I'm chuffed for him.

I'm just gutted for me. I haven't been that into a fight during the actual fight in ages. I've looked forward to plenty but they don't always deliver. That fight had everything and was just coming to the boil when........ AAAARRRGGGHHH - what the fornicate are you doing Foster?

Hamed not fighting on against many of the big names in and around his division at the time, was one of British boxing biggest missed opportunities and for that reason I'd have loved to see him edge out Barrera.

I agree with Mayweather, I wonder how his career would have been managed if he had an earlier loss.

Same with Calzaghe - if Robin Reid had got the (many thought deserved) nod in their fight, would Calzaghe had approached the rest of his career differently if he wasn't also looking to protect his "O" ?

eg. would he had travelled to the US sooner, had taken different fights etc.

As much as I dislike Haye now I was a huge fan at the time and really really wanted to see him win. Having Haye as the champion would have been fun (fight with Vitali, the more exciting fight that the Wladamir fight, to be made), if he was as good as I thought he was.

But he wasn't and never will be.

Watson getting the nod in the first fight with Eubank - the second fight would never have happened or if it had, not when it did, and probably a different outcome for Watson.

or Watson not thinking the ref was waving the bout off, and not dropping his hands as Eubank came towards him. Eubank was all but finished, and Watson would surely have picked him apart and stopped him. Eubank himself admitted he had nothing left in the tank, and it was a punch borne of completely desperation.

Always thought Watson was the most talented of the Brits - would love to have seen how his career would have panned out but for a momentary lapse of concentration.
