Just watched the Eubank bout.
He's got lots of talent, lots of attacking flair. but he made a lot of fundamental mistakes in there, ate a lot of punches he didn't have to.
Certainly didn't look like an Adam Booth fighter.

He'll give any of the top guys a test, but unless he smartens up and stops shipping punches that he doesn't have to, he'll not get away with that at the higher level, Jacobs or Andy Lee for that matter would seriously punish Eubank if he thought he could get away with what he tried tonight against O'Sullivan

There's a lot to like about Eubank when he's throwing his shots, but he either needs to sharpen up defensively or hope he's got his old man's chin if he wants to reach the top. Can be in some good fights, although God help him if he talks his way into a Golovkin fight any time soon.

Eubank looks exactly what he has looked like from the start of his career namely a very talented fighter who lacks power, that will be limit him to being a world class operator but not an elite one. GGG will beat him easily as he won't be able to hurt Golovkin.

I think what Eubank did'nt do shown where he is at , and he did'nt put spike away , When your bigger , better and smarter than your opponent when you can hit him at will and STILL don;t put him away it shows serious flaws at world elite level ... Whats more when you drop your defence and get hit and hurt on the counter , its a serious flaw .. Spike showed where he is at , a gate keeper with a bit of power a good chin , and limited skills ,

This i think made Eubank , look better than he is ,, Spike looked like he had plan 1 throw bombs and hope for the best, and that was it .. Where was the basic boxing a novice learns , just a straight left from spike a double jab , would of or could off changed that fight .

I think this was just a money fight for spike , Ok it was a good fight but after watching him put all his hopes on landing a big bomb , when a bit of basic boxing would of got him closer to winning , and then watching the corner throw in the towel , i sort of think it was the money first winning second fight for them ,, Eubanks posturing and imitating his father is ridiculous trys that against a better boxer and he'll get clobbered , I think they will keep him well away from CGG for a very long time .

Eubank is a bit "uppercut happy" in literally every fight I've seen of him. Although in fairness, this was a perfect fight for it because O'Sullivan didn't have the IQ to realize he was getting hit with every uppercut and should perhaps focus on avoiding them.

I think he will continue to work hard and he's still improving - that's important to note. It looks like he's inherited a granite chin which could be what it's going to come down to at the highest level because he's going to have to ship shots from the likes of GGG, Jacobs, Lee etc if he wants to win fights against them. I think he can give them all a decent fight. Not sure if he would beat any of them though.

Great fight, absolutely phenominal chin on Spike O'Sullivan Eubank looks like he can really punch, he hurt BJS who's got a great chin himself, but spike's chin was unreal - And he's clearly a murderous puncher, so Eubank passed that test okay.

The Irishman can come again, a really exciting fighter and fantastic to see his compassionate corner save him from a prolonged beating there.
Even though the clueless idiot Nick Halling said he quit, it was his corner who pulled him out as Jim Watt rightfully pointed out. I wish more corners were as switched on as that.

CEJ certainly has technical holes (the uppercuts from halfway across the ring against BJS stand out), but I think he takes a good shot and he seems to have a good mix of speed and power. Jacobs is a more polished fighter but I think Eubank may be the type with a good chance of exploiting what I consider to be a lack of durability on Jacobs' end.

Jacobs (I think he's flattered by the quick stoppage of Quillin by the way) would rightfully be the favorite but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't end his way.

Just watched this and sorry but pathetic by O'Sullivan. To quit just because you are not winning is poor. Feck me, look at the likes of Corrales v Catillo, Gatti v Ward, several Eubank Snr fights, a zillion other fights. This is why some go down in history as legendary fighters and others are just not remembered at all.

I saw an IFL interview where they said they stopped it before he was dropped! WTAF!? Dropped? It is boxing, at a supposed high level, you may get fcking dropped buddy.

I think quitting here is a disgrace. Sure no one wants to see a guy killed in the ring but he was not even overly hurt. Post fight interview he hardly looked like he had been in a fight, standing around chatting. What a contrast to Gatti and Ward lying next to each other in a hospital.

Got to say I think Eubank has good power. He might not have s Oreo a knock down but he made a guy with a granite chin quit.

I'm not at all sold on Eubank's power. He absolutely loads up on every shot but doesn't seem to make much of a dent in his opponent. He tends to stop people by accumulation of punches more than anything else.

Never rated Jnrs power. Shame because he would be very dangerous if he could bang, has decent array of shots and picks them very well at times.
Thought 'Spike' bottled it myself. Quitting so early because you're losing and don't fancy the job? Bad darts. Eubank was blowing, why not see out a couple more rounds?
