The question is how much of a chance. I would put it at about 5-1. If AJ had shown any evidence of being fragile, it should be lower but he hasn't.
Agree 100%
People saying an unbeaten heavyweight who can punch and has already beaten AJ has no chance are being a tad harsh.
Do I think he'll win.... No.
Does he have a chance... Yes. There have been bigger and more surprising upsets!

I've heard him say that AJ is too muscular and he will fade fast and run out of oxygen to fill those big muscles.
That's a great theory, but the reality is that can Whyte get past the first few exchanges without getting steamrolled ?
Sound logic but like you I wonder whether Whyte can last long enough to prove his point. I expect those heavy fists of Joshua will find him fairly quickly, which is a shame because I want to see the big fellow seriously tested. Mike Perez anyone?
If Joshua hasn't made his acquaintance with a punch by the time he's facing the likes of Erkan Teper then he could be in trouble.

Perez looks totally shot, he wouldn't be any sort of test for Joshua at this point.
He might have just got clipped versus Povetkin. Happens to the best of them. I do agree though, I mentioned him with some reservation. Really couldn't think of any competent heavies who were game and could hit.
Dillian Whyte will definitely win.... he has an Irish grandfather who was a bareknuckle champion, so he has the blood of a fighting people running through his veins.
In all seriousness I was susprised to hear about his Irish blood in BM, if he was based in Boston, im sure the local 'oirish' Americans would take him on as one of theirs.
As to has he got a chance, of course, he can punch, is confident and if AJ has a slightly dodgy chin, and he gets caught.
However realistically I think Joshua will win and actually I think it might be a cagier affair than we think. My feeling is there will be an early scare for Anthony but he will win by round 5

I think every Irish grandfather was "a bareknuckle champion"
Personally I think even the most optimistic of Boston "oirish" would struggle with Dillion as one of theirs.

He's already got the Union flag and the Jamaican saltire on his shorts, if he adds the Irish flag on there too his kit is going to start looking like the outside of the United Nations building

true! But I think it would be fun.... And fairly sure he'd be the first to wear that combo, at least until Tyson Fury finds out he has a Jamaican traveller bare knuckle king of the cobbles in his ancestry
Whyte definitely worth a punt. He seems to me to have a very good dig on him, he believes he can win regardless of what we think, and will train to win. AJ's toughest test, we don't how he stands up to a good shot and he definitely behaves more awkwardley in Dillians presence.

If your offering 10-1 same as the bookies I might be interested
To clarify my point, its exactly these odds that make him worth a punt!! if your betting your house, then you back AJ, but to the thread title, yes i give a Dillian Whyte a chance.

AJ of course deserves to be favourite but Whyte comes with genuine ambition and has looked a decent prospect himself. I'm not aware of him ever being hurt or staggered as a pro and he's had sparring against proper talents where he has reportedly handled himself well.
It's a dangerous fight for AJ.
I agree it is a dangerous fight for AJ but its time he was in with someone who has a chance of beating him.
