Big talk that it's Paulie Malignaggi.

Makes sense.

Paulie was my guess.

- Big name that everyone has heard of.
- Has stated that he wants to fight in the UK before he retires.
- Probably wouldn't be in a fight big enough to cost Hearn too much £££.
- Was in Marbella training a couple of months ago, would have been with lots of Brits.

I like the guy but he is well done after the beat down Porter gave him zero interest in him fighting anymore. He will be in a fight where he will be 1/100 with the bookies.

Really is a joke card this seeing Eddie defend it in IFL yesterday was a joke. Can even tell Kugan wanted to disagree with him but didn't

Thought he fought Hatton here, but that was in Vegas. His record shows Lovemore Ndou at the city of manchester stadium, which was on the Hatton vs Lazcano bill.

Yes, he was booed throughout, put on a terrible performance and had to get his hair cut between rounds.

Ugh. Choosing the 'Lad Bible' just shows the kind of demographic he seems to be targeting these days.

So, he will fight within 44 days if I understand it correct? Or does he just start training right now?

For me he's still only a good cruiserweight, nothing more as that.
I don't expect to see him back in the top 30 of the heavyweights.

The Lad Bible's definition of a "legend" probably suits Haye down to the ground.

Top 30? He'd easily make it into the top 15 in 1 fight.

Have you seen the top 30 heavyweights??? Haye would beat them all with ease bar Vlad and possibly Povetkin and AJ

I get that a lot of people don't like Haye but I don't really understand people that say they want him to stay retired. Haye vs Fury, Joshua, Wilder etc are still more interesting fights than 99% of other match ups in the division. Don't book flights, hotels and tickets to watch him, just relax and enjoy the fights.

Really? A retired cruiserweight who's inactive for several years now suddenly beating the top of the heavyweight division?

I'm sorry, but I consider this as a joke.

Haye choosing Shane indicates to me that he thinks he knows it all and only needs to get fit.

Remains to be seen if Haye will even be a fraction of what he was after his operation and time away. He is still a 'big name' though and could make a right few quid fighting AJ, Wilder and even Povetkin which is a fight I always wanted to see. Not saying he would win any of these fights but there's good earning potential there for him. Don't know what to make of him teaming up with Shane McGuigan. Bit late in the day for him to learning new tricks! Why not Booth? Have they fallen out?

Shane McGuigan won't be able to teach him any new tricks. As mentioned above, Haye must just be looking for a conditioning guy.

Is it wise for Haye to learn new tricks? He's been boxing 20 odd years so I doubt at 35 he can alter his style. Even if he could he was pretty successful doing what he did before, the risk with changing anything is he could lose the very things that made him successful. I just wonder how his body will hold up as he is pretty injury prone, that's something that certainly gets worse with age.

You should know that he struggled to make the cruiserweight limit and that's a key reason why he went up to heavyweight. It's also the reason he was almost getting KO'ed by the likes of Lolenga Mock, yet at heavy took a few decent digs from the likes of Klitschko, Barrett and Chisora.

A lot of people repeat the line that Haye is just a blown up cruiser. He's not, he's a natural heavy who has fought in an era when super-heavies rule the roost.

Whether he'll be effective after his layoff and injury problems remains to be seen, however.

As far as I know it was the other way around, he struggled to become a heavyweight in the first place and once he was he was very tactionally selecting his opponends and let's get real, what has Chisora for example achieved in his boxing carreer? Have you seen what he looks like today?
Barrett? Has he actually won ever since? Oh yea, one match against a 39 year old who hasn't won ever since either.
