I'd say keep trying this morning lads this often happens with gigs if people have brought more than the limit they'll be cancelled and re appear

4 upper tier tickets literally just came available, clicked on it in about a second and had already gone :(

The is pointless. They are not available. If you try to select tickets when they show up you will just get a message to say that there are none available. I'm sure some tickets are coming up but these are immediately snatched up by others. It's not as though they are sitting there available for anybody who wants them to log in and get them.

When you click "Next" They've gone.

Phoned Eventim and the Arena, both say "Dunno why it's doing that, there's nothing available, sorry"

Like a lot of people on here I went on at 9am and wanted just 2 £60 pound tickets but they was all sold out almost instantly so I thought let's see on stub hub and there was thousands. I'm not too gutted as I was in two minds if to go or not but wanted a ticket just so I had that option. These two espically Quigg doesn't sell out that arena that quick and I doubt the undercard is going to be up to much

I've love to know how the Stub Hub relationship works, and whether it's even legal?

For example:

1. How many tickets were made available for sale via. ticketmaster.ie and Manchester arena? It's a 19,000+ seater arena - if only a fraction of these seats are being made available, then the public should be made aware of this, otherwise they are being deceived on supply and demand.
2. Are any tickets going to Stub Hub for immediately sale or drip feeding onto the market, and does this involve kick backs to Matchroom or their related parties? Would such behavior even be legal or would it be considered fraudulent given Stub Hub markets themselves as being a platform for fans to sell to fans?

I was happy to pay whatever price, for either one or ideally two tickets. Couldn't get anything at all. Even now it occasionally displays some available, usually at £163. I'd pay that for one (more the mug me) but no, none available.

Officially given up now. StubHub's ridiculous prices can absolutely do one, and the cheek to send an email saying "Frampton v Quigg Tickets On Sale Here" too.

I tweeted Hearn asking him to explain how his partnership with Stubhub benefits the fans and he replied saying "There is no partnership on this fight.. It's a co-promotion."

Ask him how many tickets were offered via. Ticketmaster and Manc Arena on a first come first served basis.

A lot of musicians and bands make it an awful lot harder for the touts. Card present transactions, ticketless entry etc.

I started a thread a while back on the Hearn partnership with StubHub.

I'm pretty sure that what happens is that many tickets never actually even go on sale at the normal prices but instead are reallocated to StubHub at vastly higher prices. If my suspicion is correct this is a very immoral and possibly illegal practice. Proving it would probably be the hard part but from my perspective I've just given up ever trying to buy tickets to any show Hearn or Matchroom put on in any sport as the same old rubbish happens every time.

Fight pass served its purpose here, it was just very slow as not used to the demand.

It's probably the opposite. Eddie will likely have a deal with Stubhub, where they will take a guaranteed % or actual number of tickets at a pre-determined price. The price is probably lower than the face value and any normal discount he gives to the fighters (10% from what I gather). The advantages to stubhub are obvious as they can punt the tickets at a higher price, but take the risk that if the venue doesn't sell out, they are left with worthless tickets. For Eddie, the advantage is guaranteed revenue, which he can book and use in his financial planning. He will also create a sense of exclusivity (think about the queues outside nightclubs when the bouncers are slow letting people in - it makes the club appear full, until you get in and notice that it's not). The exclusivity will then also drive the prices the touts at stubhub can charge.

There is definitely a place in the market for a more ethical reseller, but getting people to sell on it would be hard. Why sell for face value when you can double your money.

According to Hearn Matchrooms partnership with Stubhub is them selling face value (plus the fees as with any ticket agency) tickets on stubhub that are clearly marked 'promotoer tickets' only. That is true I've seen them on there before. And that any on there being sold above face value are private sellers.

He states that no tickets have gone directly from Matchroom to Stubhub for Frampton/Quigg at all and the onkly ones on there are from private sellers (ie people who bought them from either ticketmaster or the arnea and are selling on).

Whether you believe him or not thats upto you

The bit in bold is true. All of them do it. StubHub, Viagogo, Get Me In etc... There was a documentarey on Channel 4 (UK) a few years back where a guy went undercover in one of them to see how they do it. Really good. Made them look like absolute dicks (in case you were in any doubt) and whilst it's a shitty, shitty, shitty practice, I think the general overall response was something like "Sorry, but we're not doing owt illegal"... at the time anyway. I dunno if the law's changed. This was a few years ago.
