fury made his debut in 2008 in the pro game, won the british title 3years later in 2011 v an untested but limited fighter in chisora but then took 4years to get his world title shot, in the years in between he was knocked down by Cunningham and pajkic but rose to win.

Joshua only started boxing amateur in 2007, turned pro in 2013. so he has along way to go before he is on the level that fury is.

Joshua needs tests and he got through one Saturday by facing someone he genuinely dislikes, he will take that he fought too emotionally

Joshua now or Joshua 2018 - neither of them beats Fury. Stylistically Fury is a nightmare for AJ.

Fury will face his biggest tests when he's in with smaller, quick, explosive guys with fast hands and good upper body movement. Joshua will never have those qualities, he is stylistically perfect for Fury.

I disagree, if Joshua has learnt his lesson, learns to move his head a bit more and come in from angles other than straight he will trouble fury.

fury could bob and weave against someone who threw 231 punches landing 52. if someone throws another 100 plus then he wont look like mayweather jnr or be able to show boat.

AJ has lots to learn but when did fury become this defensive master??

Omg i cant believe what im reading here, your talking as if fury has defensive skills like mayweather or something. I know joshua got caught with a good shot and wobbled abit but hasnt that happened to fury against cruiserweights and some american heavyweight iv never heard of? Fury won the most boring championship fight i think iv ever seen, ther wer rounds in that fight were no one hit eachother, for three minutes no one layed a glove on eachother? Fury isnt all this and that u watch in the rematch or if he fights deontay. I just cant believe some of the shite im hearing on here, next time i come on this post im bringing big roll to wipe the sh1t from some peoples mouths. Joshua wouldnt lay a glove on the defensive mastermind tyson fury hahaha  That being said look at Fury a few years ago. He has come on a heck of a lot whether you like his style or not. Joshua can work on a lot of his flaws over the next few fights but I'm not sure how far I'd go with the current trainer tbh. All well against lower ranked fighters having the power, hand speed and combos but that alone won't win at the top.

I'm not a fan of Joshua mainly because of the Sky Sports hype and would love to see Hearn's biggest asset crash and burn (bitter i know) but if he takes his time, works on his foot movement, head movement, stamina and getting a jab, Hearn chooses good learning fights rather than more round 1-3 KO's then I can't see him not being a World Champion in 2017.

Bang on. I think Joshua would prove to be a relatively easy nights work for Fury. Joshua is slow and stiff, he'd barely lay a glove on Fury. Fury would move and pop Joshua's head off.

I actually think Haye would be a more difficult opponent for Fury, Haye is faster, smaller and nippier and could maybe get on the inside and he has the power to trouble most people. If he couldn't get to Wladimir though I'm not sure he'd get to Fury either.

If you watch any of Fury's last three or four fights you will see he is nothing like the fighter he was a few years ago. Much like Klitschko did he has gone away and perfected a style that means he rarely gets hit. The break he had when Haye pulled out of fights against him in hindsight was possibly the best thing that could've happened to Fury.

I think when Joshua hangs them up, he will probably have no points decision verdicts on his record.

He will have wins by KO and losses by KO.

Whilst he was definitely far from flawless on Saturday evening, ultimately it was entertaining and that's what the viewer tunes in for.

I think it's premature to write Joshua's epitaph right now. But I would definitely agree that on the strength of their last 2 performances, Fury would likely beat Joshua via points or by a dog-tired late stoppage.

But boxing is a funny game, perhaps Wlad DID have an off night, perhaps he comes on like a steam train in the rematch and defeats Fury ? but if Fury repeats his victory and even improves on the first fight, then he's the no1 without a shadow of doubt and nobody can make a case against him for it, either at home or abroad.

I think joshua would blow him away with 4 rounds and i think whyte would blow fury away with 6,they are too powerful and too fast for fury's one paced style to handle

Wlad barely actually threw any of those punches in reality, he extended the arm, then put it back, or threw when out of range tentatively, knowing they would not land.

I'd be amazed if Wlad actually landed 52 proper scoring punches over those 12 rounds.

I wouldn't personally pick Whyte over Fury, but there's nothing to suggest he can't be competitive based on his last showing.

People do tend to go a touch overboard.

Fury would be a warm favourite against Joshua right now but lets not pretend that Joshua doesn't pose problems for him, or anyone at heavyweight right now. He is a pretty dangerous opponent for anyone.

Fury improved hugely from the 2/3 year pro he was. Imagine if Joshua can improve to a similar degree? Of course that's seemingly impossible according to some because he has a muscular physique.

Why rush this potential barnstormer? If it had to happen now then Joshua's best chance would be to rile Fury up big time, insult him, go for him, insult his family etc, get him angry and try and lure him into a war. Can't see that happening, mainly because Joshua doesn't seem to possess the savvy to play that game ( 'Dillian talks like Tyson but he fights like a girl' is about as bad as he has got so far  )

Personally would prefer to see Joshua earn his shot and in the process progress as a fighter. Would be a better fight and would give him a better chance too.

Chisora was terrified of Tyson. No way is he going to be intimidated by Josh.

I don't mean intimidating him. I mean wind him up and the only way I can see that working is to have a pop at him and his family, as bad as that may be.

It would be done with a view to getting Fury to come looking for a tear up. Massively unlikely as Peter would be there to keep him cool, but it would represent Joshua's best chance if he were to get the fight now. Try and get Tyson annoyed, abandon his gameplan and go to war. Joshua's odds would improve dramatically if that scenario played out.

Fury asked for that knockdown vs Cunningham. The first round and pre fight he was a lunatic and no concentration. Also it was one of those you don't see coming which was due to that. He's a lot more serious and focused now and despite getting knocked down twice by smaller lads, I'd say Fury has a pretty decent chin. He's taken many power shots flush on the chin which doesn't affect him and he also has the size to lean on pretty much anyone if he does need that few seconds to clear the head. Joshua's chin is very much out for debate. First punch he's been hit with and he looked like me after 8 pints.

No one's said Fury is a defensive mastermind? But his footwork and speed is so underrated. Joshua's footwork and defence is pretty much non-existent. Wading-in in a straight line vs Whyte plus every other opponent he's faced won't work against people like Fury and Klitschko. Not saying he can't improve and change that and learn tactics, just saying currently Fury would take the piss out of him.

The absence of Peter in America was huge. He might not be the best trainer in the world, but he's the only one for Tyson.

Styles make fights but id say joshua would go for it and k.o klitschko not do a fury (who slated haye for saying this and that before the klit fight then doin nothin durin the fight) and say your gonna k.o klitschko, not keave it in the judges hands,a demolition job, isnt this what he said? Then hardly throw a punch all fight. But then again some people on here are saying he is a defensive genius now off the back of that fight. I dont think whyte would beat klit cause he is smaller than wlad and he seems to intimidate smaller guys than him. But like i say styles make fights and whyte and joshua would be too raw for fury, its only my opinion tho so people dont get too upset lol

No the fight against Cunningham where he got chinned again two rounds later but landed on Cunningham and stayed upright.

Fury's success is all about the discipline that Peter has instilled in him. You can't just write off the Cunningham knockdown as a fluke, he was getting caught in a regular basis then, look at the the first McDermott fight.

The Cunningham fight was the last one where he actually got into a fight, ever since then it's been switch-hitting and holding, which is ironic considering they slagged off Wlad for being boring. If Fury starts believing all the back-slappers, it will be interesting if he puts himself in harm's way again.
