I think that we should have plenty of all British fights, but I think it would be better if we didn't put too many limitations on what can be picked.
Fair enough man, the two Daho vs Cowdell fights are my first pick and my second is going to be...
Alan Rudkin vs Walter McGowan - the rematch.

Always quite liked the Frazier- Bugner fight.
There was a great 1 hour documentary following Bugner the morning of the fight.
Really made you feel like you were there.

Najib Daho vs Pat Cowdell 1 - which was a contreversial ending but it got Daho a world ranking and a world and an EBU title shot on the back of it, all of which pissed off Cowdell greatly and made it known to everyone who would listen, what would happen to Daho if he dared stepped back in the ring with him, which leads us onto the rematch.

good fights but not as good as daho's next 2 after cowdell

At your leisure.
Although sometime in the next week or so would make the most sense.
I started a thread for the fight:
http://boxrec.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f ... 8#p4312688
Is starting a thread for each fight a good or bad idea? Let me know.

Any nominations for next week's fight?
Might as well get that lined up for the start of next week.

Your brother was a tough guy indeed, do either of you have the fight vs John Doherty? I would love to see it.

I think it will get some interest from some of the more serious and knowledgeable posters on boxers of the past.

I fancy some heavyweight action next week, something with a knock out in (although that kind of limits the scoring chat I suppose.)
Wouldn't mind some of Our Henry, only ever watched highlights of his Ali loses.

Catley vs Woodhall
Eubank/Benn/Collins/Wharton/Watson/Piper/Malinga
90s super middle weight boxing threw up plenty of interesting match ups

Duran-Buchanan. This fight always causes a mix of opinions because of the low blow. Would Ken have came on stronger the last few rounds? Or would Duran have stopped him, or just beat him up until the final bell? Did Ken deserve a rematch?
Just watched it recently and psoted the following on BOTP
"Just watched Duran vs Buchanan again. Was a fantastic bout but...
From a Scotsmans point of view, what a terribly disappointing ending.
Buchanan was well beat but it's controversial none the less.
The first time I watched it was on youtube and it cut out after the decision was announced but I rewatched it on dvd yesterday and heard the commentator interview the referee on the ring apron after the fight and he said it was a punch to the abdomen.
Now firstly it seemed to come after the bell, which makes it an illegal blow, it is thrown as the referee is pulling Duran away to end the round, so he surely should have known to stop punching and, it's obviously very difficult to see where the punch landed from the camera angle, but as he wheels away you see the leg of Kens shorts raised, which indicates he was punched well below the belt.
the referee was over Durans shoulder and must have seen this. Very disappointing"
Still, Duran was never losing that fight late, Ken was done and I suspect wanted a way out when that low blow landed. A brave effort and definitely one we need to view on here

How about Eubank v Watson 1st fight. That's a good one to review.

I've never watched Dennis Andries.
3 time WBC light heavy weight champion.
If anyone could suggest a good fight of his to watch?
But I just read the first of his Jeff Harding trilogy was a good slugfest
https://youtu.be/81uWudUEjqc
I also read he was seldom in a dull fight.

Another trilogy
Howard Winstones 3 unsuccessfull attempts to dethrone Vicente Saldivar.
https://youtu.be/ih1yX7fc3Lo
The second was reportedly won by a narrow margin, so might be better to score for a thread
https://youtu.be/H1mMLV3T3TU
The 3rd had a stoppage or we could watch the Mitsunori Seki fight to see him actually succeed and win a title

Winstone - saldivar or seki would get my vote, fwiw, horse.

Alan Minter vs Vito Antuofermo

We could have a bonus round that week and watch him get pounded by Hagler

Going back through the thread, just noticed you had already suggested Andries, Minter and Winstone.
Think I'll need to start taking note of what's already been suggested before hunting down any more fights
