Bit late but 115-112 for Joe

Sorry to be late and I thought Calzaghe got it by 2 rounds, Robin held a bit much, the point deduction and was a little bit dirty in close. Reid didn't half clatter Joe though, at least half a dozen big powerful right hand smashes straight in the kisser! I'd not seen this bout before and it underlined how tough Calzaghe was - Robin played his part in a very good bout. There should have been a rematch, it's mental Veit got a rematch and not Reid.

Reid turned the rematch down, he got £75k for the first fight and was expecting the money for a rematch to be around double that, Warren offered £90k and he said no.

That's understandable, he put a big effort in and Calzaghe was a very good puncher, there should have been good money for both in a rematch.

On first viewing I had Reid by 2, on second viewing by 1, and most recently was torn between Reid and the draw. If anyone started Rematches That Should've Happened this'd be right up there.

I'd definitely have fancied Calzaghe on the return, but think he had one of his off nights against Reid at his very best - the latter affecting the former. Not sure about the truth re: Joe's claimed arm injury.

Fairest take I think. Reid was easy to score, but I constantly questioned if I was giving Calzaghe too little credit. With his flurries he could often be oppressive without landing a telling shot.

That's a good point - there's a big difference between that upload and the potato version I had 20 years ago.
