Considering Khan is as brave as a lion, is no stranger to taking a beating I see no reason to tip-toe around. Brook, Garcia, Thurman.... he should take whatever fight he can get that will lead to matches for the belts.

his last fight at l/welter was over 3 years (37 months) ago.......he boxed diaz at catchweight 33 months ago..........his last win at world level was 54 months ago............
Khan has wasted so much time over recent years chasing the big names in the division. Now that those opportunities have passed, he needs to knuckle down and get back to business. I want to see him against Garcia because I feel that he is good enough to win, but with Khan's inactivity you wonder if he can go into a big fight and have the quality to damage Garcia.

They'll sell it alright. As Syntax says above, Garcia could probably sell it on his own. It doesn't follow for me that because Khan got "blown away" he automatically loses this one.
I seem to remember watching a stink job last year where Garcia somehow managed to get a win over Lamont Peterson despite getting his head boxed off for most of it and losing the stretch convincingly.

I think what has bothered most people about Khan recently was his willingness to stand on the sidelines and avoiding difficult fights while he was a possible mayweather opponent. Khan has shown willingness to take on challenges throughout his career until the point he realised that a setback could have derailed his Mayweather opportunities.

mayweather retired in september........khan still didnt bother training til january.......
i just cant see khans people allowing him to take this fight. they have avoided punchers like the plague his whole career. when they got brave with garcia the last time , they realised they made a mistake and he has not been near a puncher for 5 years. they know brook will walk right through him, so even tho theres big cash to be made, it seems they are not interested.
of all the top welters out there it seems that the only one without a big punch is bradley, but bradley has too much for khan anyway. i can see khans career just continuing to peter out into obscurity.

Garcia has looked pretty good in his last few fights, use the highlights of them to showcase how he has improved over the years and throw in the interviews and public workouts and showcasing of the belt and you've got the general public interested in the fight.
Throw Khan's self promoting into the equation and the fight will sell, he constantly compares himself to people like Mayweather and Pacquiao and the general public will buy into it seeing him as the bad guy from the UK who is fighting to take a belt he see's as his own.
As for people in the boxing world, this is a fight Khan needs and everyone knows it, he keeps fighting names to get by but never the biggest names out there that he waits and waits on and then the fight falls through for whatever reason where as Garcia has gone on and earned his shot and won the title and now wants to establish himself as a force in the division.
Weather people buy the fight to see khan get put down again, to see the champion Garcia defend his belt or see a complete upset, this fight will sell
