Rigo is undoubtedly a great technician but, to be perfectly honest, 10 rounds can sometimes feel like 30 rounds when he's fighting. I'm glad it's not a 12 rounder.

For the show overall, yes, most likely. If Rigo says it's 10 or nothing then there's certainly gonna be an upshoot in ticket sales with him being there versus not.

The chances are that the "why" is stupid, because Rigondeaux makes many bad decisions as far as his career goes.

I don't know why he'd do that, but it's not beyond the realm of possibility. From his side of things I'm sure he's thinking "If you want me to come over and fight a nobody (from a global perspective), in another country, on someone's undercard, then you do it on my terms"

It was common practice not too long ago for champions to have non title bouts. Chavez loved them. The promoter saves on importing all the officials and not paying sanctioning fees and paying smaller purses. Rigo keeps busy and gets exposure in Frampton/Quigg's backyard. Excellent business decision by Rigo.

His win over Donaire was almost 3 years ago now and he hasn't done a great deal since then.
