Macklin is the licensed promoter and manager, he's the face of the operation and the gym is named after him. In reality Daniel Kinahan appears to be in charge and providing the financial backing. Serious questions have to be asked of Macklin in all of this.

That's what I was getting at - how has macklins dodged criticism over his association with big time criminals? Is it fair to say they wouldn't be involved in boxing at this level if not for macklin? If so then it's pretty shocking on macklins part. Imagine a stray bullet had hit that little kid for example. Or if Jamie Moore had been killed. Why on earth did broadcasters get involved with mgm if the guys behind it are big time gangsters? I imagine this whole thing today has made absolutely massive headlines in ireland

Maybe it does, Sklar - some of the people over there are certainly living the 'crime does pay' lifestyle with beautiful villas, powerful cars and a leisurely life. The people that achieve that are looked up to, regardless of how they get there.

happened moths ago, they shot his uncle aswell recently i believe, cant remember if he survived. from wat i know he doesnt believe they had his da murdered, his da worked for the kinnehans in spain for years, jamie spent alot of time there aswll. looks to be in denial, because he was close to his da who also trained him

Unless you are extremely well trained and experienced, and often even then, people see what they want to see in situations like that. I remember being at a debrief after an incident where every person in the room gave a different account of the number of shots fired. It ranged from something like 15 to 45.

ERU are pretty much always armed with semi automatic weapons

These gangs are running a muck in Dublin that's 3 shot dead in a month only two weeks ago a man was shot dead and chopped up and dumped in a canal in Dublin. Fuckers need the death penalty too many innocent people getting caught up in it.

It looks like they're bumping each other off though there was a real risk of innocent bystanders getting hurt today. It might warn some people off going into that line of work.

Of course it was targeted. Look at who the victims were. Also, the garda investigation for killing an innocent is completely different to the investigation for one gang member taking out another.

I'm guessing there's a lot of writers (guys on here who are well known even) that wouldnt want to touch that story with a barge pole because they quite understandly wouldnt want a bullet between the eyes possibly.
