No he wouldn't.
He has shown nothing to say otherwise. Lets be honest Hughie has fought nobodys. All very well saying he is beyond domestic level by Peter Fury but he has never beaten any good domestic fighters. Tom Dallas would give him a good fight and he isn't British level!
I'm not saying he doesn't have potential, I just dont think he is nowhere as good as whet people think he is.....he needs to prove himself. His cousin did it by beating Chisora and John M, Rogan etc. Hughie seems to want to dodge these guys even the though they are that much older and easier to beat you could say
At 21 he is ducking no one, just serving his apprentiship, he has been kept busy and got rounds in.
While he may be past domestic level, he hasn't done this in the ring and will gain valuable experience in fighting Skelton, McDermott, Whyte, Price and Chisora. It's pointless fighting Dallas or Cornish unless they can't find an opponent.
I'd like to see him fight 3 of those 5 in the next 6 months, then he really would be in a nice position to move up.

Why is it pointless fighintg Cornish/Dallas? That would be a step up. If he is serving his apprenticeship then why does he dad/trainer say he is ready for a world title fight with Charles next. Too much talk and very little results to back this up

Like TopGun said, I don't think either of those would be a waste of his time.
Hughie's record is weak. Any name fighters will help to build it up at this stage.
Although I don't disagree, both Hughie and Peter Fury have tweeted in the last few days that it won't be a British level fighter, it will be a 'Top 10' opponent.
However Mark De Mori was 'Top 10' and I would have fancied Gary Cornish to beat him convincingly ...
Maybe he is good enough to take on top ten fighters in a weak division, only his camp know what he is producing in the gym, but I reiterate that domestic level fighters will give him the great experience needed for top level.
Tysons fights against Big John are proof of this. I felt he had found his level at this point, but he learnt so much in those fights and was able to come back so much better.
Cornish and Dallas are more akin to Darch and Larry O.

So what Rudenko is nothing special, his record is padded with VERY modest opponents, his 'reputation' is based purely on giving Lucas Browne a decent fight (merely exposing the fact that Browne isn't very good)

Are they a step down from Olubamiwo and Zarate?
were they not just keep busy fights, get the rounds in like. and i may be wrong but was zarate a last minute replacement for someone else? but i would certainly rate rudenko higher than cornish or dallas myself anyway.

i dont claim rudenko to be anything special, just better than cornish and dallas in my opinion

That big Highland hard-on would be better off tossing cabers (patriotic I know).

Always an excuse.
His fight against Rudenko was a year ago. Shouldn't he be doing more than 'keeping busy'.
Why doesn't he 'keep busy' against someone slightly interesting like Dallas or Cornish?

Looks like the opponent Hughie was fighting was Andrey Fedosov. Which is an interesting choice but they're obviously going after a mandatory by moving up the rankings. However, apparently Fedosov's camp pulled out according to Peter Fury on twitter;
"Update Hughie opponent asked for fee none negotiable. Fee agreed " sent contract' they then asked 3 times amount they wanted. Boxing".
Where does Hughie go after getting rejected again? It seems that no one wants to fight him. Pretty sure it happened on the under card of Wlad vs Fury when they couldn't find an opponent.

Hasn't Peter Fury pulled this rubbish many times over the last couple of years?
Why do we need to be told who Hughie is 'trying' to fight anyway? Just sign them up and tell us who he's fighting after the contract is signed.
Fedosov wouldn't be a very good opponent anyway. Just bloody well fight McDermott.

Is it the case that Peter is taking a speculative approach to Hughie's career and paying for the opponents out of his own pocket in the hope that if/when Hughie does reach the highest levels it pays dividends? I've heard people imply as much and it's always looked that way to me. I don't see a concerted effort to sell tickets and there's never any panic with television coverage.
If the above is the case I can definitely see the value in it given their circumstances and in many ways it makes life a little bit easier. It's risky but what isn't? I do though think that getting an equivalent foreign opponent to Brit in terms of ability would be considerably less expensive, so that preference is understandable.
Why are all these big name fighters (purportedly) running scared of a Fury, a 21 year old, undersized, arm punching slapper?
Despite the increasingly deluded Peter's claims he's NOT a particularly formidable opponent for anyone with any sort of ability.
So one can only assume:
1. Peter is (once again) talking out of his a*rse (all the Fury's have a tenuous grasp of reality)
2. They are offering peanuts.
3. Opponents don't want to get dragged into the whole Fury circus.
4. Opponents don't want to risk catching Leprosy/Bubonic Plague or whatever malaise Hughie is suffering from (Hughie is the only fighter I've ever seen having spots on his back tended by his cuts man)

It is. Peter told me that he adds his own money to the purses to get him on bills and keep him active.

You lick Wilders arse despite his dogshit opposition but you think Fedosov isn't a good opponent for a 21 year old prospect

It gives them more control and given their circumstances it's not daft. If it pays off great, if it doesn't it's no great shakes. There are people with less money than those lot who spend a shyte site more on school fees each year than he'll pay towards fight purses. There is a point where it would be a bit excessive though and I suspect, rightly or wrongly, that you can climb the rankings by shrewdly picking your battles, rather than paying extra just so the Horse's of the world (and that's not meant in a disrespectful way) are happy with the choice of opponent.
