I know this; both Wlad and Vitali swam more than they ran.

Neither of them are quite built for long distance running...tho I remember at least one heavyweight champ who ran marathons, Ingemar Johanssen, but heavyweights were much smaller then.

I bet Fury doesn't last 10 seconds on that board Wlad was caught by Shanon Briggs.

And yes to the earlier post, as I understand Wlad doesn't run regularly he swims. However I think he would outwork Fury in fitness contest. He just look fitter. And dont tell me looks dont matter. I have yet to see a fat long distance runner.

He didn't even destroy Valuev, who was similar reachwise, but far far stiffer, and without half the defense.
In fact Valuev should have won that fight in my opinion, while that same Valuev should have lost his match before against Holyfield. In other words, a 46 or something Holyfield is better as a prime Daffy Haye.
Agreed. whatever Haye did at heavyweight to gain so many believers remains and always will be a mystery to me. Stephen Tangstad had better credentials.

Talked a lot, and overhyped fights, "trust meh guise Harrison iz a tahp hevi and weh h8 eech uther", plus he was ripped, which people somehow thinks makes you a vastly better boxer. His resume at heavyweight is really pretty weak. Kayoing Chisora probably being the highlight.

so then, what is the answer to the
most pathetic question you've seen.
how many miles per day will tyson
fury run until july 9th?

I don't think that was even the question? There's no mention of accumulative miles until the fight! Just "on a daily basis"... Pointless topic in my opinion.. One that the answers seem to slowly but surely veer off to other opinions of other predictions...
that was the wording you called most
pathetic:

"how many miles can wlad run on a
daily basis and how many can fury.

my guess
wlad: 5
fury: 2"

Yeah you got it.. I don't see it as relevant in any way, shape, or form, they both done 12 rounds in Düsseldorf, with fury arguably liking the fitter of the two at the end.. I was there in the stadium, and for such an impressive physique for a guy of his age Vladimir look absolutely gassed.. Where as fury looked as though he still had a few rounds in him.. That's the gods honest truth.. You don't have to watch the whole fight to see it.. Just skip to the final bell..
Wlad has never had very good stamina, plus Fury is by far the more naturally built. He's a naturally big man who hasn't bulked up much at all.

Appearantly, I remember one of his defences, he fought a guy with 8 loses on his name already.
I just checked Wladimir's resume, his last fight with an opponend with so many loses as the guy David Haye fought was back in 1999! And not for a world title ofcourse lol.

That's why they are long distance runners because they can't box.

Is this from the 'every average amateur in my gym will obliterate top MMA fighters if they wanted to, but they dont want it because boxing is so cool" series?

Couldn't tell you but I can tell you that, what ever body shape Fury has it doesn't matter, the guy is world heavyweight champion end of, muscles don't win titles, skills do. :TU:

that is probably very true. though
if i look at the history of boxing,
most champions actually do look
like as if they indeed did spend
years and years training in a gym.

after all, that is their profession.
that is what they do for a living,
and i would not hold it against
them, if that became ... visible.

but why not go for "natural boxer",
just natural dudes coming of the
streets, instead of these crazily
chiseled athletes.

I go further then that and agree with the others who said that Fury shown much better stamina in fights then Klitschko. The reason is that he does not expand lot of energy while fighting, he is very relaxed, doesn't load up on punches, doesn't suffer from the punches taken. But in pure fitness contest, such as running, I dont think he would be a match for Klitschko.

trust me, that is mutual. you

miles every day. but you insulting
me because you say it was not
relevant for the past fight, no
sir, that was not the topic.

look at the history of heavyweight
boxing and show me another man
that out of shape as tyson fury at
an age where everyone else looked
chiseled.

even if tyson fury was as talented as
he claims his lack of work ethic would
quickly make him fade into oblivion.

Ali, Holmes, neither of them looked chiselled, Holmes especially. Foreman, Liston - massive thickset dudes, but not chiselled, Bowe.....need I go on.

Even Lewis never looked ripped, he looked more athletic when he was young but he clearly never looked like he hit the weights hard.

I've seen them all plenty of times. None of them were ripped like Wlad.
