The Williams v Corcoran fight the only decent match on there. Rigondeaux will be interesting to see him but what's Jazza Dickins gona do with him realistically. I'm more interested in good matches than talent 'showcases'/ one-sided fights. The Flanagan fight is a very poor match.

This fight is a one sided piss take. Surely Frank could've served up someone better than Fana ffs! They were talking about wanting the Crolla fight and fair enough but Crolla takes on Linares and W@rren brings over this has been? You just know that after tonight's walkover he'll be giving it 'Terry is the best lightweight bar none' waffle waffle. That may well be the case but he's not going to prove anything beating up the likes of Fana.

They originally made the fight on Hennessy's undercard when he was struggling to shift tickets, Big Mick was never going to put up much money for an opponent for Flanagan, he could barely afford to get his own fighters on there. They're trying to get Zlaticanin over for him later this year, from the way Warren and Andy Ayling have been talking this week it seems fairly close to happening.

I hope you're right mate. That would be a good battle. This fight tonight shouldn't have even been sanctioned as a title fight.

It's basically a case of seeing how quickly Flanagan can take him out, would have been just about understandable on the Fury-Klitschko show as a chance to look good in front of the casuals but on this show it's just a knockover job, not sure why Steve Wood picked Fana or why Warren agreed to it, there were other cheap options in the rankings that they wouldn't have got as much stick for.

I wasnt that impressed with Flanagan's performance if im honest, its hard to be critical when he didnt drop a round and scored a couple of KDs but i thought he struggled to get to grips with Fana who made it difficult for Terry to land clean,he used all his experience to nullify Flanagan's attacks and it was a boring watch i thought,i expected Flanagan to get him out of there

Maybe pushing the fight back by a week made him a little sluggish, I know its only a week but it is hard to stay at your peak when you have been working towards a date and then that date is changed.

I agree though, made it hard work from what I saw

Agree. I wasn't that impressed with him against Matthews either although you have to give credit to Derry there. I thought he'd have blew Fana away but without dropping a round he got 'old manned' If that makes sense lol. Alarmingly he was caught far too often as well. Credit to Fana though. He done very well for his age and had a few moments of success. I wrongly wrote him off as fodder and he showed himself to be more than that.

Puerto Rican press are pumping it out on Twitter. Saying both are "close to being confirmed", though jacksh*t has been so far. Hence the caveat of "rumour" haha as I won't believe it til I see something official!
