I wouldn't say it was a dive. He got hit and he went down. The chaos afterwords, who knows. One thing I am certain of.... If Liston had got up, he would have taken a beating.
No way.

No way? He hit him with a jolting right.

The knockdown may have been legit, but it's painfully obvious he could've gotten up by the count of 10. Hell he could've gotten up by the count of 3. He chose not to for whatever reason

If I had to guess what happened. I think he got hit hard, went down and decided that he just didn't want anymore. Ali had his number and he knew it. IMHO.

Vera vs Chavez Jr one
Utter fix. On the onofficial scorecards from reporters and boxing mags not one person has scored the fight to Chavez Jr.

Hatton v Pacquiao.
Clear fix, Punch never even connected.

liam smith v jimmy kelly looked off to me, kelly just sort of did a theatrical flop onto the deck without being punched.

Disgusting but it made the victory even sweeter. Every time I watch that I love the ending, have it you cheating bastards!

Nothing as blatant as RJJr's silver medal.

Definitely the most blatant one I can remember, although it's probably easier to count the number of international amateur fights that were fishy over the years than the ones that weren't.

Eubank v Sherry was a joke.
Dan Sherry was pathetically hilarious.

As I remember he seemed to overact, but apparently swallowed loads of his own blood and passed out.... Or something

Yeah I heard that during the play acting he managed to swallow his own tongue...

Wasn't Primo Carnera in numerous fixed/fishy bouts??
My dad use to tell me that max baer refused to take a dive vs carnera and proceeded to beat him around the ring.
Not sure how accurate this is.

That was it.... But yes the play acting caused it, not the headbutt

Marquez v Pacquiao 3 was a very dodgy decision.

True. All their fights were controversial though apart from the JMM KO. Pac v Bradley1 was a joke too. Was JMM not robbed against Chris John as well?

I've not seen the Marquez v John bout and the first 2 Marquez v Pacquiao bouts were close but I honestly thought Marquez had won the third hands down, my wife watched that one and couldn't believe the result. I though Pacquiao was making a statement in the 4th bout until he got cold cocked.

Totally agree. First two could've went either way but a lot of folk had JMM winning. I couldn't split them. The third decision stank to the high heavens.

Can't believe no one has mentioned the blatant dive the excellent fighter Emmanual Augustus took against Allan Vester in Denmark. Something was definitely rotten in Denmark that night.....
