Herol Graham making a total nipple out of the unfortunate Jose Seys......to be fair Seys came to have a proper go at Herol and I had not realised that he'd crunched Errol Christie on his previous visit to the UK.

Unfortunately the more Seys throws the bombs, the more he's swatting thin air and in danger of bringing the house lights down.
He throws one punch - misses - and is facing in completely the opposite direction to Herol.

Harry Carpenter...being a decent gent is kind...but the crowd increasingly get the giggles.

I only did it because Stacy Goodson said if I "proved I wanted to fight", that he'd book me on his shows against one of his "Trailer Park Series" guys like Zelenoff and Hartley and Strege. I know in my heart I'd of beaten any of those guys. Oh well, c'este la vie. Life goes on, as the poet says. Probably the best compliment I ever heard was from someone on EastSideBoxing who said, "What Rufus did Zelenoff will never do," and he was right cus Charlie never did fight pro again.

Nice quote from EastSideBoxing, but wasn't the compliment (if that's what it was) rather 'bitter sweet' to see your name mentioned in the same breath as Zelenoff's ?

Context is everything. At the time the biggest thing being talked about on the forums was Stacy Goodson's TPS boxing stuff, and at the time Charlie somewhat had some minute level of credibility because he was still interested in fighting pro and against third tier opponents, on actual shows. Sure he was a joke even then, but EVERYBODY and their brother wanted to fight him and knock him out. Hell, they still do. Just nowadays he's hiding and paying guys off at gyms to take a punch or two from him and call it a victory. But back then, he actually was trying to do fights. Also, people forget that at one point there was over a dozen competitors in the TPS as well, and there were tons of journeymen like David Molton, etc that people could have fought, etc. So it was interesting seeing a bunch of forum posters, fans, etc become boxers against each other. Unfortunately hard times hit Stacy hard and the TPS came to an end.

The audience didn't laugh because it was a bad fight but a wild last round.

You didn't fight in the TPS as far as I am aware, Zellenoff's one 'pro fight' where he spat his dummy (mouth guard) out against Hartley no fewer than 3 seperate times is on YouTube, as are fights featuring Strege and a couple others, the only fight I saw you in is the afformentioned J'Leon Love fight, so are you saying you took an actual pro fight against a worthy opponent just to prove you could fight in the trailer park series ? Sounds like that Stacy fella played a serious joke on you chavvie ! Don't worry Rufus, you still have infinitely more kudos for fighting someone like J' Leon Love compared to Zellejerk going around the gyms of Los Angeles randomly assaulting people ! It's only a matter of time until someone stumbles upon his lifeless beat up stick man body in some back alley ! Now there's a thought, if you are serious about fighting Charlie 'Z Money' Zellenoff then you could always treck down to the gyms of LA with some sort of disguise as an unsuspecting gym member, await Zellenoff's gay advances and beat him around the ring ! Funniest fight I've seen was Tszyu vs Judah... Judah catching a straight right on the button and jumping up too soon and wobbling around... Then he tried to distract the referee from his wobbling by pointing at him and talking to him -- and a second later doing the craziest pratfall I've ever seen.

The pantsing of Roger Mayweather by Pernell Whitaker got some belly laughs as I recall.

Good old Tony Booth. Being the away fighter, he Would often get the piss ripped out of him by the crowd. He definitely gave the crowd a good laugh in this bout.

I also remember watching an absolute stinker of a bout at hull ice arena in the late 90s. Carl King (Don King's son) spent most of the bout wandering around ringside yelling "hit the man!" much to the crowds pleasure. Carl King was managing Immamu Mayfield at the time, who was fighting on the bill.

O my God, I feel sorry for this Sutherland... I do not know of he was conscious about his weakness but it is not okay anyway.

I saw a fight the other day where they interviewed the guy before the fight and he says something like "I've trained and meditated for my power, let's see how it goes" and he gets crushed in about 20 seconds. I can't find the clip.

Joe Frazier looked scared to death when he stepped into he ring with George Foreman... I hadn't seen a look of fear on a Heavyweight Champion's face since Floyd Patterson took the ring against Sonny Liston... The audience LOL as Frazier fought like an 4-round novice getting bounced around like a basketball.
