This is a good point. Saunders isn't particularly likeable. I think he's trying to follow the Fury route but he lacks Tysons personality and likeability.mickey1975 wrote:I think most, yes most, people see the funny side of Fury and the like ability despite some of the dodgy stuff he says. You can tell he's got a good heart. Bully Joe lacks that.

I'd usually dispute Fury has likeability, because generally I think he's a gigantic knob.lillywhite14 wrote: This is a good point. Saunders isn't particularly likeable. I think he's trying to follow the Fury route but he lacks Tysons personality and likeability.
But I thought he came across as quite likeable on Saturday when talking about the Klit rematch. When he's not trying to be funny, and just being himself he came across quite well. Probably the second most miraculous thing that ever happened over Easter.
Re: Saunders last night
Tyson Fury is a nice guy really, I think some of his actions are just to sell the fight, which you should not take too seriously, I can't say the same about Saunders though.
Re: Saunders last night
Probably just me.
I despise, and I mean despise, this way of trash talking to sell fights. A necessary evil perhaps, but it does my head in. I can tell if I want to see a fight or not, I don't need two people acting like twats pre-fight because they think it makes the fight seem more interesting.
It makes nothing more interesting, and makes the fighters involved look like puppets for the TV stations. Pre-fight trash talk and showing off is my least favourite part of any sport. If you're good, we'll see you are. We don't need for you to bore us with it.
Same goes for ring walks. Don't take half an hour to get to the ring. We came to see the fight, not to listen to music whilst you go for a stroll.
