Re: Joshua v Martin RBR
Not a great fight by any means but it was competitve,i never scored but i thought Macklin might have done enough to edge it although it was close,Rose took a bit longer to get going and i thought Macklin threw the more hurtful punches
Re: Joshua v Martin RBR
Judges aren't going to go agsinst Macklin with his back-up.
Re: Joshua v Martin RBR
Macklin / Lee surely has to be next for Macklin

Froch calling it a 'good domestic fight' and a 'British level fight' and that you couldn't see them stepping in with any of the world champs - hard to argue with any of that.

I missed the Russian show last night, how was it?Stuarty30 wrote: That's my guess. Plus they start these box office events early so you think you're getting a full night of boxing! That Russian show last night as soon as one fight finished they gave the ring a wee sweep and got on with the next. No fuckin about.

Totally - i really like Froch as a pundit. Honest, pretty insightful and always ready to talk about the 80,000 at Wembley.reggaereggae wrote:At least he's being honest unlike the usual SKY guffBobD'Mello wrote:Froch calling it a 'good domestic fight' and a 'British level fight' and that you couldn't see them stepping in with any of the world champs - hard to argue with any of that.

Re: Joshua v Martin RBR
wtf is this fight all about?!Mcdonnell must be thinking this is my "homecoming"...?!
Re: Joshua v Martin RBR
Macklin maybe did enough to win it, I maybe had it a point or two closer, could have went either way. However he did look shot, and also bit of a disgrace that he couldn't do the weight. It was for a meaningful prize on Sky Box Office, poor show IMO. Would like to see him knock it on the head now. Go out with a win on Sky box office (albeit whilst still light outside).

Wow Vargas looks so different from when he boxed DeLAHoya.... Has he had plastic surgery? I always used to like the little blonde streak he used to have in his hair.... I guess he's changed his look.....

Re: Joshua v Martin RBR
Vargas has no right to be fighting for a 'world' title. What happened to the days when champions fought non-title bouts?

I don't understand how Fernando Vargas lost that much weight and got a world ranking! Amazing. It even change the shape of his head!
