What's to understand?
He can show off a few skills while fighting woefully overmatched opposition. Whoop-de-doo!

Ok many of us prefer punchers, and hes not one, but is that it? You understand the risk in taking on undefeated Russell Jr with a 1-1 record? Who else is going up a division to face a decent titlist like Rocky in their 7th fight?
He's taken very few risks in the two years or so since he beat Russell Jr.
If he had been fighting good opposition then I wouldn't be slagging the fella off.
Your new name is 2 dicks, you can't get that silly playing with one

Loma's only been a pro for 2.5 years and 6 fights. His matchmaking clearly stagnated, but Rocky is a step back in the right direction and I'd say that Russell, Salido, and Martinez--all of whom were or are top 10--make a pretty strong group of opponents for someone with his pro experience (and ya he had a bunch of amateur fights, but the pros are still a different game).
I agree that some people (e.g. HBO commentators) over-hype him, but I think he's a very good fighter and expect him to shine in future bouts.

Do you guys think that Mikey Garcia can still make 130 ? Loma vs Mikey should be entertaining.

No with what limited knowledge I have I don't think Garcia can make 130 he hasn't fought in a long time and was having trouble making weight when he was active.

Mikey Garcia looks like he's got some weight to lose. But nice shirt, @MarioLopezExtra #boxing

So Loma KTFO's Martinez in 5 after outboxing him.
By the way, what ever happened to verballistic? This fight reminded me of how verb believed that Russell would beat Loma in a rematch because GR beat Jhonny Gonzalez, and Gonzo, even though he couldn't beat Jonathan Oquendo, is apparently better than Salido. It was like some type of clusterfucked triangle theory.

Lomachenko looked really impressive tonight. And he seems to hit way harder in SFW than he did at FW.

One of the most impressive performances I've witnesed in recent times.
I can't see anyone beating him at super feather.
Hope he goes rematch with Salido followed by Vargas next.
