He won't do that. He's not in bad shape there, you're just used to seeing fighters with ridiculously low bodyfat. Best fighters ever, Duran, Monzon, Chavez, etc used to pile it on between fights. I think it does your body and mind good to let things go somewhat between camps. Being in shape year round can become more style over substance and leave you stale.

Nice observation He's not going to look like he did the other day come fight night. He's not a daft guy and he knows he has a job on his hands. For all the circus and hilarity Tyson brings along with him he has a very professional and astute trainer behind him in Peter. They're no mugs.

To be fair to Fury, all this stuff is a breath of fresh air to boxing, I would take Tyson over any of the other media trained monkeys that are to scared to put a foot wrong, the media will bring them down eventually anyway. Fury brings entertainment and controversy and he can fight! what ever people might say about his physically apperance he has already shown what he can do, without much of a problem. So keep hating the real champ if it makes you feel better LONG LIVE THE KING!

Graham Lister does seem very bitter against Fury,Any reason ?

My opinion Fury aint doing anything wrong,He has people talking about about him plus his the Champ & earning a right few quid.

I'm not going to quote anyone, but the Hatton comparison is valid. Hatton dethroned a highly regarded, albeit ageing, P4P top ten, division top dog.

Both like to eat loads and get pissed out of their faces between fights, blow up in weight. Anybody that has followed Tyson since he turned over from amateur will know he has made reference to spending time in pubs and doing drugs. The way he looks now, I'm sure he's been on the piss and putting away the occasional gram or two. You can see it in his face. I'd be amazed if he wasn't.

I hope he's more a Duran, who did everything that Hatton did (and more) and continued to be great, but you can't say Tyson lives the life. Because he don't. He looks awful. It doesn't bode well.

For Gods sake he's a 6'7" giant Its going to be impossible for him to look like AJ its just not in the genes .. And i'm sorry to inform some of you but having a 6 pack may look good but its not a given that if you have one you can fight 12 rnds or take a body shot .. just that you look in shape and i've seen hundreds no thousands who look in shape, ripped with 6 packs and muscles ,, but blow out after 2 rnds on the bag or 20 seconds sparring , and get dropped the first time they get so much has a tap on the body

I don't know what Fury normally looks like between fights. But this kind of ballooning can do no good for him. Examples of fighters way over weight prior to big fights include Hatton, James Toney (about 4 stone overweight prior to his biggest career fight, Roy Jones, which went disastrously) and it happens at heavyweight, too, with Buster Douglas prior to Holyfield and Riddick Bowe, who took a walloping in the Andrew Golota rematch.

Fury's game is to be light on his feet and prevent the robotic Klitschko to set himself to attack. You'd rather him be in decent shape closer to a huge fight. Especially his first title defence. Wlad, who looks extremely trim, is at least consistent and this will help him in the rematch, the fact that he maintains fitness.

Fury makes references to Spinks vsLarry Holmes, that Holmes couldn't change, Spinks beating him twice. Yet the rematch was extremely controversial in Spinks's favour. You want another precedent? For me it has to be the tall and light on his feet Carl Williams out boxing Larry Holmes and not getting the decision. Williams was taller and lighter on his feet andHolmes struggled to reach him. Williams was just touching him, not hitting through the target. And the times Holmes landed, he was just tapping as well. Fury v Wlad had that same feel, a curious semi contact match, with Fury out boxing his man more decisively and getting the verdict.

Imagine if Williams wasn't so light on his feet? If there was a rematch. He'd drastically reduce his chances of winning. This is what Tyson appears to have done. I feel he'll get the win, probably awkward, ugly and ungainly. I just think he has Wlad's number. But I think when he faces someone who doesn't touch you, tap you, but tries to go through you, he will come unstuck. Like Williams did with eg Tyson. Joshua could be that man. And when you look at Joshua's commitment to fitness, and improved punching technique between the last pair of fights, combined with Fury clearly willing to let himself go, I predict a messy end for Tyson - albeit in a very good fight.

Really hope Fury is not taking the undisputed heavyweight title for granted. He holds one of the biggest wins ever by a British fighter and I want to see him not only repeat that but also have perhaps the biggest UK fight of all time,versus Joshua - which also could be the biggest fight in the sport's current climate.

Fingers crossed for Tyson in July. Hope his legs and fitness don't let him down.
