I thought that the hype around him is over the top. It is a good job Hughes hasn't got two fully functioning arms! He could do something at world level if a chance came against a weaker champ but I think Nurse beats him to take his WBO spot. I noticed that catterall was grabbing hold a lot every time he was hit, anybody else notice that? Best of luck to Joe, hope he gets some good fights and exposure now

His opponent was horrendous be unfair to judge him on that performance really.

Joe Hughes should be getting a lot more credit from people IMO. He is pretty much a one armed fighter who gave Caterrall his biggest test to date by far.

Last night will have done Caterall really good though personally thinks Nurse would have too much for him at the moment I reckon 60/40 in Nurses favour. Would like to see it though.

Need to watch these fights with the sound off, too much bias from commentators

still very young but Catterall looks to be stagnating at the moment.

Not sure about Catterall, seems a bit lazy and probably at this moment not as good as he thinks he is.

He's got loads of potential, seems like a lazy sort who maybe isn't pushing himself hard enough in training and seems to go lazy during fights.

Agree totally, those points you make are exactly why I'm not on the bandwagon. A two handed Joe Hughes would have won that comfortably

I tend to agree , I expected more at this stage from Catterall after being very impressed with his stoppages of stalker and brough. I have to say though how impressed I was with the performance of Hughes. He has a truly admirable attitude and is a real credit to himself and the sport . He gave his all despite obvious difficulties. I was not aware of him at all before last night but found myself wanting him to land a big shot towards the end ! .
Well done to both lads .
