In fairness it's not aimed at boxing fans it's aimed at vacuous fans of celebrities who liked Haye in that jungle show. If he can get even 10% of viewers of that dross to buy his PPV swansong vs Joshua in a couple of fights time he'll be laughing all the way to the bank.

Ron Mac is a class act, my favourite boxing commentator, but his style and delivery are all wrong for pissed up housewives. His over enthusiastic explanation of the origin of the boxing nickname "smokin" must've had em all reaching for the lambrini. The discussion at the end with the 3 other diminutive pundits gazing blankly upwards at the towering Ronald as he gave a neverending answer to a simple enough question was my comedy moment of the night.

if only they would have shown Markham/Mullender live instead of some night club owner in a 4 rounder just cuz he's Haye's mate, it would have gained an ounce of respect back.

Tyson vs Savarese was worth it just to see Warren with a shiner and try to deny what had happened.

Ronald McIntosh next to Barry McGuigan made this Dave production worth it also!.

Haven't the Board always sanctioned some fights that are shite though? Are these times genuinely more worrying that the 1980s (say) for matchmaking?

Remembering they did not allow Castro fight Maccarinelli - and Castro was on a decent winning run and was geniune top 20 (ish) at the time.

Briggs' opposition since Klitchsko have been a disagrace and I do fear Haye vs Briggs will leave the BBBoC with serious egg on face. Briggs was breathing heavy before finishing that guy at the weekend. Briggs has a cast iron chin, but I can see a beat down something similar to Klitchsko vs Mercer.
