I've always liked Eubank Sr so maybe I'm a bit biased, but isn't there a chance that he only gets heavily involved in the media side of things just to take some pressure off Jr? I don't really see how he can be an overbearing parent trying to live vicariously through Jr, considering he did everything in his power to try to keep his son from even taking up boxing in the first place?

Eubank Sr is just looking after his son, remember boxing is a dirty game, with loads of sharks waiting to pounce at any minute.

It helps a lot but he can fight. For instance, I think Conor Benn is useless and won't get anywhere near juniors level, regardless of who his dad is. Matchroom know it as well. They approached a friend of mine, 1-0, about the possibility of boxing Benn on Saturday. They wanted to know every amateur bout he'd ever had, then never got back in touch! He wasn't a top amateur, either. Regional standard.

Think your right about Benn, he should of stayed amateur in uk for a couple more years

Fair play to Eubank Jnr for wanting to take on the best around. Makes a contrast with his Dad who studiously avoided James Toney and Herol Graham in his 17 defenses (to name but two of the top fighters around at the same time who Chris chose not to share a ring with). I love Eubank Snr dearly, the man has the heart of a lion, but I think his courage was tempered by a certain amount of business sense that the matchmaking in his son's projected bouts seems to be lacking, if it comes off. I'm not sure why but I've got a feeling the Eubank's are serious here. Maybe they seriously believe Jnr has the style to beat GGG? Maybe he has? I'll be watching it either way.
