nobody on this occasion said either that he was amazingly talented or skilled- more so than Murray, certainly, but then Murray is mediocre where talent is concerned.
Porter is the only good opponent that Brook has beaten and he only won that fight narrowly.

Brook's 'skills' have generally only been displayed at a relatively low level.

Murray is far above mediocre as far as talent is concerned.

Beat Porter more easily than Thurman did..... Murray doesn't have a world class win. Murray is mediocre just look at what Groves did to him

Do people forget what Murray did to Martinez in Argentina? That was a world class win in all but name. The Groves fight proved he is no super middleweight. He should move back down, challenge and beat BJ Saunders then defend against Eubank Jr.

Murray could've fairly been given decisions over Sturm and Martinez, though I had him narrowly losing both. He's a very solid middleweight, but I think Brook has more to him.

Such a low quality response should be beneath you, Counter-puncher.

Martinez was in serious decline by then

I thought Thurman did a better job on Porter than Brook did.

Groves is a proper super middleweight, Murray isn't. Brook has never fought anyone like Groves.

Brook looks impressive against mediocre fodder.

Martin Murray's (black) & Kell Brook's (red) top 10 best results:

Sergio Gabriel Martinez - (Lost)
Shawn Porter
Felix Sturm - (Draw)
Arthur Abraham - (Lost)
Gennady Golovkin - (Lost)
Vyacheslav Senchenko
Rafal Jackiewicz
Frankie Gavin
Carson Jones I
Matthew Hatton

Ionut Dan Ion
Lovemore Ndou
Max Bursak
Michael Jennings
Kevin Bizier
Nick Blackwell
Sergey Khomitsky I
Sergey Khomitsky II
George Groves - (Lost)
Danny Butler

Murray's fought the better opposition, he's proven his ability at a higher level than Brook has. Let's see what Golovkin does to Brook.

My apologies I should have referred to his other top quality wins, like Bursak, or Khomitsky

Oh good, another Murray debate where Horse stands alone, we've not had one for a while.

Murray may have been unlucky against Martinez, but look how Martinez subsequently performed against Cotto. The man's knees were shot to bits. A genuine world class MW would have come back from Argentina with the belt.

I'm not agreeing with Horse regarding Murray but Thurman hardly clinched against Porter which made it a tougher affair. Brook was holding a lot on the other hand.

Martinez's knees hadn't recovered from his knee surgery after the Murray fight against Cotto.

He was still hobbling around on crutches a few months before the Cotto fight. His knees were much, much worse against Cotto.

Its only sparring, but he did get tagged easily and looked ponderous. If thats how the majority of the sessions with Smith went, then he's done for.

With bad knee problems, could not throw the power shots anymore.

100% correct the left hook right hand smith landed is very concerning, if GGG does that it's party over imo

Bit risky innit, both in 2 of the biggest UK fights of the year, swapping punches a few weeks out... :o :o

I'm praying no injuries scupper anything in the run up.

And the fact Liam walks through Kel's punches means zip, clearly they will both be holding back big time with millions on the line.

From the clip I saw they didn't tell us when the spar was so it might have been a while back I thought?

Look how he performed in the fight before, arguably his best career win. Murray was six months after Chavez Jr, Cotto was over a year later.
