Brave effort from Edwards he showed a great chin in there tonight he shipped some solid looking shots but in all honesty he was never in it,i gave him one round(6th) and even that was close,he couldnt land his jab and TBH he never really looked like he believed he could land on Casimero,he did befuddle John Riel with his movement art times but there was always only gonna be one winner and it was a terrific left hand that scored the KD and an accurate finish

Charlie can live to fight another day and should go back to domestic level to develop as a pro

Wonder why Hearn made the fight. He's normally very shrewd with his matchmaking. I know Golovkin vs Brook isn't the best matchmaking but I think most people including Eddie recognise that for what it is which is Brook and Eddie cashing in.

Listening to Martin Murray talking about fighting GGG earlier was scary. I fear for Kell.

Maybe he feels it'd be easier to market Edwards as a Domestic level Champion with him having already fought for a World Title. Just a guess

He must have thought the reward outweighed the risk. Edwards can come again. Maybe it was just a really good opportunity?

At flyweight the opportunities are rare so you have to take them.

From Casimero's point of view it was a safe defence.

Thing is,at flyweight and Superfly there are going to be plenty of future opportunities to fight for world titles.Especially for a UK based, backed fighter like Edwards.

Do you think?Im probably wrong here but Id think the champions would always be looking for opponents and even recycled opponents at small weights like that.Look at someone like Hernan Marquez for example.

You know what I can easily see Eddie underestimating him just off a few YOUTUBE clips, he has quite an basic looking style, but like a lot of world class fighters that don't look aesthetically pleasing he had ring smarts in abundance, think Eddie dropped the ball on this one and got away with it, Edwards can come back but it easily could've ruined him

'Win this and surely it's a world title shot for him'. Total sky bullshit.

I agree with you. A British defence would have been much better, this fight proves nothing
