He was certainly generous. Must have scored the close rounds for Glowaki plus any round Usyk won Glowackis way too

Oleksandr Usyk won big for me. never seen him before really impressed by his hand speed , movement , bellew saying he is on his radar. he will make bellew look bad i think

Usyk is probably the best actual boxer I've seen from that division in a long while. It's been a strong competitive division but it's been lacking boxing talent and Usyk brings that in abundance. He beat a good solid champion tonight and he beat him well and clearly in his backyard! This guy will take some beating. He would beat Bellew whatever way he felt like on the day! No fuss!

how would a fight between Usyk and Lebedev go?is he too rangey and better footwork than Lebedev?

I thought Bellew sounded like a big fan of Usyk. Almost too much of a fan. I don't think he'd be that confident going into a fight vs Usyk at all.

Lebedev would defintely make Usyk work harder,Glowacki for all his heart and will,looked pretty devoid of any ideas all night,he was resorted to throwing wild hopeful left hands all night

I'd be worried about Lebedev swelling up and being too static of a target for Usyk.

At cruiser I don't see Usyk really being that troubled. I'm way more excited about what he can do at heavy.

Yes sounds like some serious pedigree. Hope he doesn't throw it all away for a mediocre career at heavyweight.

A shame Glowacki wasn't able to make adjustments. He'd been a good champion to watch.

Quality win, probably the win of the year so far.

Glowacki was coming off two strong wins over Huck and Cunningham and was arguably the #1 fighter in the division. I'd put him behind Lebedev tbh but still. Cracking win, especially for someone's 10th fight. Even more impressive when you consider the Cruiserweight division being the strongest in boxing and most competitive with all the top guys continuing to fight each other.

He talked about sparring him when he was on the Next Big Pod and admitted he got beaten up, basically. He then went on to say he'd fight him though (I think "if the money was right" might have been said).

They know deep down they will get beat. I don't think Bellew would turn that fight down though. Hearn will be coming out with all sorts of excuses for why it shouldn't happen.

Risk reward, there's no money, PPV etc etc etc.

Amazing performance by Usyk seemed so calm in the later rounds which were uncharted territory for him as well. glowacki is one tough man and I still think we will see him near the top of the division. Just because he was dominated does not mean his last two wins disappear. He is still a world class cruiserweight.

Usyk v Lebedev would be amazing Ukraine v Russia could make that fight difficult though. The atmosphere for that fight would be something else.

I'd love to see him try and clear up at CW but the $ at heavyweight might mean he moves up quicker.

The Lebedev fight would be good.

Reminds me of what Evander Holyfield did, beating Dwight Muhammad Qawi in his 12th fight, although that was much closer than this. Holyfield only stayed at Cruiser for 2 years after winning the title.

I think Usyk may well be the best guy in the division since Holyfield, although he does have to prove himself in more fights. The way he so calmly went about outclassing arguably the #1 guy in the division--away from home and in a huge step up--was very impressive. Obviously he was excellent in the amateurs and WSB as well (Euro/World/Olympic amateur champ; dominated super heavyweights Joe Joyce and Medizhidov in the WSB), and his collection of pro and amateur achievements really do suggest that he's a standout fighter.

Incidentally, I'd rate the schooling of Glowacki higher than any of Haye's CW wins; the stoppage of Mormeck was brave and entertaining, but flawed, while Enzo was never genuine world class in my view.

The only guys I can see at cruiserweight having a chance against Usyk are the punchers: Dorticos, Briedis and Gassiev.

Kalenga's a huge puncher; reminds me of Ekassi. But yeah, I think I'd go along with Dorticos as his apparent main threat.

On Haye, I was thinking just the other day that he left cruiserweight eight years ago. Had he stayed there and retired this year, he could've potentially gone 12 years undefeated with 8 as champion. He was never active enough to trouble Louis' and Holmes' records for successful defences, but he could've gone down in history as the greatest at 200.

But time rolls on, and it looks like Usyk's the man now.
