Parker would be to soon after Dimitrenko date.

Great bit of media work by Sky, throwing Parkers name out there to increase his profile before the February fight.
Expect his name in the sky sports news section a few more times between now and then.

I've heard Pulev was close. Disagreed on a few things but by throwing a few names out there (especially Wlad) expect Team Pulev to sign up at original offered terms.

This is the thing I don't get....people bang on about him being massively overrated, but how many people are rating him that highly? He's generally considered a promising young fighter, and is that unreasonable when he's 24 and took a huge step up to score a fair win over a top 10ish opponent, one who is better than anyone AJ's faced?

Few and far between are those who rate him as some tremendously gifted star or anything along those lines (pretty much every higher profile fighter has some fanatic supporters though). He's also down 30-3 in this poll and should end up a sizable betting underdog....he'd likely be a dog against Fury, Wlad, Wilder, and Ortiz too.
I would confidently pick Parker over Fury, Wlad, and Wilder.

I hope Jarell Miller gets put on the show somehow. Hearn should try to make 4 heavyweight fights so there will be 3 made when one inevitably falls through.

Klitscho wouldn't have the testicles to take on Joshua. He'll wait and see what tasty puddings he can fight for Fury's vacant belts. Cue a 2-round KO over a Lucas Browne type and an "I'm back!" sort of statement.
Wlad has fought the top guys in the division for years.

You also say on another thread he was spooked of Fury, yet even at 40 he was trying to fight him again....

I don't think even Hearn could claim to be able to offer Wladimir Klitschko "life changing money", the guy's been selling out stadiums for 10 years

Wlad has obviously been in training for Fury. But a Wlad vs Joshua fight would surely need more lead-time and more planning than the couple of months remaining would allow.

Should it become Joshua vs Parker on Nov 26th, as much as I'm sure Hearn would like to see Dimitrenko do Parker some physical and psychological damage only a couple of months prior, I sure hope, for the sake of a great Parker vs Joshua, that won't be the case.

Granted it probably won't, but both fighters would be on the back end of a camp and be ready to go. We all live in hope!

I believe that Joshua's next opponent will be announced either today or tomorrow. Just waiting for the Brook and Crolla fights to conclude.

Stick Parker in with Klitschko on Joshua's Undercard. Klitschko needs to stay active for now. They can build up the Klitschko-Parker fight then or Parker-Joshua if the latter wins.

Would Wlad fight on an undercard? You're talking about a guy with years of 8-figure paychecks, sellouts in multiple countries, and excellent TV ratings (12m+ in Germany alone and recent US numbers which destroy Joshua's). He's been a bigger attraction than the huge humble one ever has.

He shouldn't have to and he probably wouldn't but it would be a way of keeping active when it looks like he's got nothing on the horizon for the foreseeable future. It's a pipe dream though admittedly.

Ya, I mean it makes sense in some ways and I'd be down for him vs Parker, but I'm assuming that Wlad wouldn't deign to be an undercard fighter again.

It looks like the waiting game will continue for Joseph Parker with Eddie Hearn now saying fight details will be announced "this week."

With Hearn looking to make Joshua vs Klitschko, Parker might yet find himself on the undercard fighting David Price.

It all seems to hinge on whether Tyson Fury is stripped of his titles, and if he is, if it happens in time to get Joshua vs Klitschko made.

What exactly is Parker waiting on with respect to Hearn's upcoming announcement? Surely if he had a fight with AJ or Price he wouldn't need to wait on Hearn's announcement to find out.

Meanwhile David Price is also listed on the October 1st Cleverly vs Braehmer undercard.

I think Parker and his team are not too bothered about fighting AJ or Price. They know they have their mandatory, and they're ready for either. Fair play to Parker's team though, they are not doing any complaining, they're just getting their head down, and going for the win when the chance comes around. Wish more teams were like his.

Sounds like it might be start of next week now that AJ's next opponent will be announced as they try to round up Klitchko. I personally don't see it happening. They'd have a week to sort all this mess out, it's just not enough time. The sanctioning bodies have now got to decide what to do with the belts and if any of them do strip Fury, who will contest the belts. Then you're stuck with the Manchester Arena for a super fight. I know that the Manchester Arena is the biggest indoor arena in the UK, but probably should have a stadium for such an event, and only the Millennium stadium has a roof, and that's unavailable!

I live in hope, but as it stands, there's too many unknown variables!

I agree. Impossible to see all the necessary boxes being ticked in time for a Klitschko fight when they have a January deadline hanging over their heads with Parker.

Perfect storm required. Hard to see it happening.

The truth is that they are struggling to get AJ a fight for November.

Pulev's turned down three offers.
Stiverne just isn' interested.
The date is too soon for Parker (whose team has already they want the Price fight)
Hughie Fury will be askung mega-bucks.

They want to keep Hayw on the back-burner as a candidatw for a big stadium fight next summer.

With so many withdrawals, at this point i'd maybe settle for someone like a Chisora.

I'd worry for Chisoras health in that one.

Yeah, i can't see him doing too much either against the big man. But he might to be able to offer him a few a few rounds.

I think it's kind of irrelevant because he dropped outside the IBF top 15. Also rumours are that they're close to confirming the interim WBC position.

Hearns publically came out and said that the three fighters on the radar for AJ were Parker, Pulev & Stiverne.

Parker's people have already said that they prefer the David Price fight as a "build up" to AJ for next February.
Pulev's people entered discussions, but they rejected Hearns three offers, which kept increasing every time he went back to them.
Stiverne's people have no interest. Negotiations weren't even really entered in to.

As I understand it, watching Eddie's interviews over the past 5/6 weeks. It's not exactly a secret, he's vocal enough about where things stand. It's one of the things I like about him, the transparency with which he operates.
