Actually, it sounds like all he wanted was purse parity with Hatton - true, Harris was being offered good money but Hatton was still standing to get more the way FW structured the offered deal. Hatton has been getting way overpaid to fight creampuffs for so long, if he really wanted a shot at a legitimate world title like he says, he should've been happy to sweeten Harris' part of the bargain by a few $100K.
I don't particularly like Harris' peevish attitude myself, but the fact is that he *is* the one here who is the proven world-class fighter and owns a recognized world title belt.
So in the span of just one month, Calzaghe, Hatton and Audley Harrison have all blown chances at career-defining fights. Pretty distressing pattern, isn't it?

This will be the biggest mistake of Rickys career if he gives up his mandatory spot and goes in a different direction. Really, where else can Ricky go? The Mitchell fight is not gonna happen, Gatti seems to be booked up by Spadafora and Mayweather, he's sure as hell not gonna fight Mayweather and Rickys people wouldn't want a fight with Cotto anytime soon. Who's he gonna fight? fornicating Lovemore or Spadafora? He cannot let this opportunity pass him by, he will regret it in years to come when he's 31 and in the same position that Joe Calzaghe's in with no real fights available that are worth getting up for.
Ricky Hatton 36-0, without ever facing a real top class opponent and with none seemingly on the horizon.

So Warren has withdrawn Hatton from the WBA rankings, how crap is that.
As I said before its all about the money for Warren and Hatton.
It is them who failed to make this fight happen.

Certainly looks that way. FW should have gone to purse bids and bid fornicate all. So what if they have to go abroad for little money? If they are so confident about Ricky (and they should be - he's very good), go and do a fornicating smash and grab raid.
The money will look after itself when he has the belt.
