I'd be surprised if it was someone as good as Allen. I'm skeptical he fights, but I'd look more at the guys Allen has beaten.
???
That isn't clear? David is better than any opponent is expect Ortiz to fight in 3 weeks. He was the only suggestion from anyone that was conceivable to me.

Maybe Charr? I think he boxed in September for the WBA International Title.

I would say it might be between; Charr, Guillermo Jones or Andrey Fedosov - all ranked in the top 15 by WBA.

That's if he will still be fighting WBA route

Talking about Guillermo jones- how the fornicate that fornicator fought at welterweight I'll never know (well i do know; the use of diuretics but still) He looked absolutely huge next to Lebedev at cruiserweight. He must have been about 220 on the night. The cheating pudendum nearly killed Lebedev aswell.

You think Lebedev is any better? He looks better than ever at 37 years of age.

I don't think he looks better personally. He just looks the same to me. He just hasn't had a detoriation as of yet. Could be due to the use of PED's but it could also be his individual genetics and he's a bit of a late bloomer. Froch's best years went well into his 30's.

I haven't mentioned Mike Perez, is he still active ?
It would be very interesting battle of Cubans, supposing Perez is fit and willing to fight.

David Price? I suppose Allen is a better opponent than him too?

Lol, he won't be facing a good opponent. It's a mid undercard fight in 3 weeks!

You don't think Price will take the fight at short notice? He's in training and trying to get a fight.

No chance. There's not enough money left in the budget for that fight. It's a stay busy fight.

He might, hearn wouldn't wedge a fight like that midcard. As I've said, I doubt Ortiz is on the card at all. If he is, it will be a complete squash match.

Allen is apparently still recovering from a stupendous beating at the hands of Dillian Whyte... I see nothing scheduled for him.

Eddie Hearn will inevitably try his upmost to repopulate the 'King Kong' hype train by matchmaking him against a stationary target on the 10th December.

I know this fight won't happen, but Ortiz could encounter real problems if he had to face a big punching skilful mover like David Haye.

The fight is 3 weeks away. It'll be down the undercard on a show that will sell out regardless of who he fights and will do good PPV numbers regardless of who he fights. Hearn won't spend any money on an opponent when he doesn't need to.

A few people have said Dave Allen, and while I'm fairly certain Allen has the balls to take it, I don't think that makes sense for Hearn either. Allen is pretty much made for Ortiz and would get blasted out early, which would make Whyte's win look a hell of a lot less impressive and make the inevitable AJ-Whyte rematch a harder sell.

I'm guessing price. Easy ko exposure for Ortiz and price can still day he's undefeated to non led users. And by absolute fluke he wins the mega ppv an v price :bag:
