Back to the topic though, I did think Ward won but Clark was better than I expected and it was very close. I'd like to see a rematch and if he did more I thinkl Clark could win, Tthat said I also think Ward would step up more too so who knows

He might have been sectioned after the result.

Ward seemed to walk the first 6-7 rounds with his usual movement and quick jab, all round slick skills but after the seventh ward seemed to slow a little and really offered little in terms of effective work.

He's one of my favourite fighters but it has to be said this is pro boxing not the amatures so your work needs to be effective not just light scoring shots.

He never discouraged Clark and I was shocked when ward was visibly struggling after round 9, obviously he got dropped too.. In the end I only gave the fight to ward by 1 point. 114 113 I think.( was ringside close too so no sky commentary influence, tho I often turn those hopeless twats off tbh).

Let's face it clarks no world beater either.. Very worrying, I hope ward treats it like a defeat and does not ignore the glaring issues that were highlighted here.

You are a bit more than a fan you comment on all his stuff on Twitter and signed up on here just for this topic ha.. Anyway You are a lot closer to the scoring than the impossible 115-113 and 116-112 from 2 shocking judges. I've watched it back now 5 time Ronnie 100% wins everything from 8 on so what your saying from your opinion is closer to the Mark.. In saying that the first 7 rounds were very tight rounds to score to give them all to Ward is especially harsh.. The first 3 rounds I can't score for Ward he barely touches Ronnie. At least 1 or 2 he should of won or at least got a share of.

People jump on what we say and on this fight I don't believe this was a robbery but very harsh.. Ward ran for the whole fight and spoilt where he could when he tried to trade he got in trouble.. Its a fighting game and only one fighter came to fight.. Came to give the fans what they want.. The decision was very harsh and it happens a lot..

Your right Ronnie is no World Beater but he is improving every fight.. These may be harsh lessons but they are working.. I know a rematch won't happen here which is a shame. I just hope someone takes him on now and gives him the fights and exposure he deserves.. Ronnie is a real fighter and he wants real fights.. Let's see a real promoter step in and help him go to the next step

I hope Ronnie Clark gets another decent title shot out of his showing. I remember him at Bedworth Civic for his fight with Troy James, and thought he conducted himself like a proper old-school pro. And just as I used to give Jorge Paez a two-round start for his mad haircuts and bizarre shorts, Clark deserves an extra point for haircut and doing the splits on the MC's introduction.

The art of boxing is to hit and not get hit.. Ronnie barely got hit on Saturday was very elusive..

Your question about tactics.. Ronnie's tactics would of been to box with him the first half swap rounds and slow him down to the body then take over 2nd half of the fight and force a stoppage late on.. I think he pretty much done that apart from not forcing the stoppage..

A different question is what could Ronnie of done better.. He should of thrown when he was making Ward miss. I thought Ronnie showed a defensive and offensive side to his game was never hurt and for a 12 round fight against a very very good fighter he made him look poor.

The other side is what people are getting at is needing to rip the belt away.. Boxing should not be like that.. Ward ran the whole fight and spoilt. Ward may have got the decision but he lost the fight.. Ronnie will learn something new from this and will come back stronger
