Trainer banned, the boxer suspended for six months

The whole incident is plain stupid. If Nick says he wants to spar, the response should be 'no Nick, you could die'.Oiky wrote:Not surprisingthepocketrocket wrote:Trainer banned, the boxer suspended for six months
Yea you would of thought everyone there would have done all they could to talk him out of itthepocketrocket wrote:The whole incident is plain stupid. All I can think is that the trainer was really young and felt pressured by the ex British champ coming in. No excuse, just trying to get into his head.
It's a tough situation for a young trainer though. Obviously we don't know the full story, but Blackwell might have insisted he was fine and said had been told by doctors he was OK to spar. It would surely be hard for a novice, young trainer to call him a liar.Oiky wrote:Yea you would of thought everyone there would have done all they could to talk him out of itthepocketrocket wrote:The whole incident is plain stupid. Stupid as it is though, Blackwell is clearly game as they come, I will say that muchBoxerbeetle wrote:It's a tough situation for a young trainer though. Yeah? Didn't say it wasn't stupid, wouldlnt disagree it was selfish . Just saying he is game as anything. Still very silly and all involved are clueless but when you've got people like canelo ducking ggg left right and centre and making ridiculous fights, it's sad that someone like Blackwell who would clearly fight anyone tomorrow if he could will never be able to box again and has to do divvy things like spar which he shouldn't to maybe feel alive?samwbr wrote:His neurosurgeon and his family tho.Oiky wrote:Stupid as it is though, Blackwell is clearly game as they come, I will say that muchBoxerbeetle wrote:
