I disagree. I'm as left wing as they come on this board and I say he's an idiot. He comes across like a lost little boy parroting things he's been indoctrinated into saying. I feel somewhat sorry for him, but I do consider his beliefs to be dangerous and like the platform he's been given where he's essentially being made a fool of. I live in a town with a large Muslim population and people like Small are a tiny minority and should be called out more by other muslims, hopefully this will go some way to making that a possibility.
And - using my example - Hatton is an innocent little lost boy indoctrinated into drinking and taking drugs?

Why doesn't anybody take ownership and responsibility for their actions any more?
He's a grown man, of course he has to take responsibility for his actions. He spent months in Belmarsh through his actions. I made an observation, I'm not alleviating him of his responsibility.

The Hatton comparison is really effing stupid. :TU:
Nice one, the thumbs up makes your offensive comment seem somewhat cheery.

Rather than just be critical, why not offer an alternative to show how really clever you are?

Can you give a better example Bamber? :TU:

Why do we need something to compare it to? Can't we just talk about Small? That to me would be the intelligent thing to do.

small was an idiot, but they were trying to wind him up...the white pr1ck with the bow tie tonight was a real plum.

what i dont understand about him is he is was so into what he believes he would have answered the call to arms from IS. there has been no other time in recent history when that call was made. yet he didnt go! so he's a bottle job, plain and simple.

but i think what the shia girl said was right, he seems to lack emotional intelligence. maybe he does have brain damage from boxing. of course all of the arse licking of ali after his conversion to islam probably hasnt helped anyone suffering with these kind of delusions.

He just has no intellectual scope or depth that allows him to debate rationally or question his own actions....he's been told that what he follows is true Islam and has accepted this literally and in its entirety. Trying to do anything else and he's out of his comfort zone.

I don't think that it is any coincidence that so many of these people are what might be classed as empty vessels; their lack of education and overall life skills makes them highly suggestible and easily manipulated.

He looked utterly pathetic walking round the house with his printed-off crib sheets - instructing others far more able/educated him - and this behaviour underlined a desire not to be challenged and to somehow establish a moral legitimacy.

Maybe he's an idiot savant but my best guess is that he's been moulded by others who easily preyed on a lack of confidence, education and purpose.
Great post :TU:
Almost like the showmakers knew exactly the light he would show himself in and how he would come across. Far cry from giving him a platform to recruit.

Poor old RCJJ
I forgot he called himself that what a tit

I enjoyed the programme I thought it was really interesting. The guy does himself no favours he contradicted himself a few times.

I didn't watch this tonight, but the bit where Abdul Haq / Anthony Small didn't realise that bloke was gay, and then didn't cotton on that the other bloke was laughing at him for not realising, was absolutely priceless. On the one hand he's a dangerously lunatic, but on the other I think his main problem is that he's just thick as mince.

Exactly why he's susceptible to this kind of ideology.

I got my last account banned from here when the Paris lorry terrorist attack happened for saying the truth..
And what truth is that then?

Blatant attempts to get other posters to walk into a second banning will not be tolerated

:OhYes:

I wasn't trying to get him banned, I didn't even realise he was formerly banned poster till he said. My point was what often people like him consider to be truth is utter rubbish.

Even if he is brain damaged or just plain thick, he is still very dangerous.

He could either do something himself or encourage others to do something - either way, we as a country need to be strict with anybody who threatens our national security.

Some people are thick and just out and out loopy and dangerous , i remember a guy coming to the gym years ago , before all the muslim hysteria , he stopped coming and become a devout muslim , preaching the word of Allah and all the crap,, I actually told him to leave it at the door or fook off , he left the gym , but at one point i asked him i thought you were a devout catholic , how come your changing , and he told me , he was walking down the street and a car with some blokes (muslims ) pulled up and started talking to him , invited him to there temple or whatever ,gave him some stuff to read , and he goes all the time now and is converted .

Point being this kid was a devout catholic and complete strangers can start to talk to him and he becomes converted ,, I've not seen him for 20 years but i was told he went real radical about it all ,,, sort of tells you what most of us already knew about him .. He was a fruitloop . ,

You called? :TU:

I'm a socialist in a lot of ways, I am very right wing in other ways - such as crime and punishment - I am like General Franco when it comes to that, I think a lot of people are the same.

I don't have any time for Small or militant Islam, I have nothing against you holding your views but if you express them on a debating site like this, expect your views to be challenged, if you don't want them challenged then don't express them on here. Simple really.

Despite that, I have a lot of respect for you as a poster and your family's achievements in boxing. And I certainly wouldn't want to see you banned (again!).

I say give him his passport if he feels like that. Let him get vaped by a drone. In reality he doesn't really want that - he wants to be a 'celebrity' and shout his mouth off. There are plenty of ways he could've made it to Syria without his passport if he actually tried. I genuinely believe when the lights are off and he's in bed, he doubts his so called beliefs but loves the theatre and attention too much to chill out. Like Andy Choudary, an egotist, failure and attention seeker

Can anyone find the video of his ring entrance when he came in on a scooter or skateboard or something? Was having a look on youtube but couldn't find it.

Only just caught up on the programme Small obviously came across as the complete wanker he is the only bit with the Gay bloke was hilarious but also his Amir Khan impression does deserve a nod :salut:

I caught an episode and did a bit on it: http://www.britishboxers.co.uk/2016/12/ ... ony-small/. He mentioned Ali, but should have looked at how Ali's faith evolved over time. I can't see the same thing happening with Small and nothing good will come of it.
