I know he is here as he was doing a little in the open workout on Tues or Weds but as to when he got here I am not sure to be honest.

Just think how much more McDonnell earns now compared to when he was at Doncaster's football ground.
what when Dennis Hobson paid to buy him an IBF title

Bought him an IBF title?

How do you mean? By getting it staged over here?

You make it sound like a gift when McDonnell had beaten Hall already for British, Commonwealth and European titles to move up the rankings and ground out a hard win over Ceja to secure the IBF belt.

Just watched Rey Vargas's last fight.

I think this could potentially be a mismatch and if Gav makes it past round 6 he will have taken A LOT of punishment.

Vargas has quick hands and is very good to the body. His right hand to the body looks particularly good so does his uppercut.

Looking at Munoz his opponent last time. Ex world champion at weights below well travelled looked durable but WAY past his best. But that will be the same standard ( or even better ) than what McDonnell has been in with.

Sky Facebook says the undercard has concluded.

So with that happening, and the broadcast not starting until 8pm, is there anything happening in the arena for the next hour and a half or so? There's only one float listed

Allen needs to go after Sexton/Cornish and the British HW Title.
Maybe chase the Commonwealth Title in the interim...

Good on him, great result. But the only way is not up, it's likely to be down.... back to being a journeyman paid short notices purses to be beaten up by prospects.

Nope. Next fight is the winner of the Liams & after he wins that one he gets the winner of Brook Spence.

And he'll win that too.

He's turned a corner
