“It’s very confusing and frustrating,’’ Horn said.
“The fact that Pacquiao is now tweeting about different opponents is so annoying because we were under the impression that he had agreed to fight me on April 23. We don’t even know if it’s Pacquiao tweeting this stuff or if he’s given control of his page to someone else.
“I’ll fight him anywhere but obviously it would be awesome to have the fight in Brisbane. I think all these tweets are just mind games, a ploy for Pacquiao and his team to show me that they have all the power and they are calling the shots over the fight."

welcome to the big league jeff, lol.
nothing is a done deal until u r in the ring with the pacman and the bell sounds for round 1.
they likely just pretended to fight in oz to flush out other offers from countries who are now aware that the pacman wants to go on the road :)
we can't possibly compete with the UAE in terms of $$$$$

Team Horn Confident Pacquiao Deal Will Go Through, in Brisbane
http://www.BS.com/team-horn-co ... ne--113591
Jeff Horn's management team are confident a Brisbane fight with Manny Pacquiao will go ahead despite claims the Filipino's next bout will be in the UAE.
The Queensland fighter's camp received assurances from Pacquiao's promoters that an Australian location remained the first option.
Duco Events, in charge of promoting the fight, said they were aware of social media posts and comments from Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz that the Filipino would next defend his WBO welterweight title in the UAE.
But they were continuing to press forward with plans for the Suncorp Stadium battle, after speaking with Pacquiao’s exclusive worldwide promoters, Top Rank, on Tuesday morning.
“Michael Koncz has looked at other options, and he is well within his rights to do so,” Duco founder Dean Lonergan said.
“But Top Rank will still make the final call in consultation with Manny.”
Lonergan said he expected to have the details for the fight finalised within the next seven days.

Get this sorted already. Pacquiao's team are all on different pages and it is playing out as a media soap opera.
Re: Jeff Horn vs Manny Pacquiao confirmed April 23rd - Aust frontrunner to host
just ignore it.
its quite simple, maybe he will fight horn and maybe he won't.

According to Manny Pacquiao’s adviser Mike Koncz, Pacquiao's next fight will definitely be in the United Arab Emirates on April 23th.
And the reason - you guessed it - they will make more money!!
His opponent has yet to be finalised. But according to Koncz, Jeff Horn remains in strong contention.

April 23rd is only 2 months away now and the longer the delay with naming the opponent the more likely it will be Horn IMO.

Aready beong reporter Pacman vs Khan May 20 as I predicted! Although perhaps in the UK and the UAE deal isn't finalised.
Pacman was never gonna fight Horn

Cant see a whole lot of poms making the pilgramige to the UAE to support Khan with their strict alcohol laws....
Re: Jeff Horn vs Manny Pacquiao confirmed April 23rd - Aust frontrunner to host
I just read on a FB group it's official. It makes sense Kahn is a Muslim, it's in the UAE where he does spend some time and it's probably the fight they were willing to pay the most for over there.
Sporting events or just any events in countries like the UAE should be boycotted until they have human rights from this century. I'll still watch it though

We'll see what happens, but I thought Horn seemed like a bit of an odd choice. Manny hasn't fought such a low profile opponent in at least a decade (I'd say Hector Velazquez back in 2005).

I guess we shouldn't be surprised with the benefit of hindsight. Once it wasn't Brisbane it didn't make a lot of sense it would be Horn.

Khan got destroyed in his last fight (well outside his natural weightclass though). Pac by TKO.

HANG ON A MINUTE
Speaking from Las Vegas, an angry Bob Arum said British newspaper articles saying that Amir Khan had signed for the Pacquiao fight, were “total and complete bullshit."

According to Michael Koncz :
"Hopefully by midweek next week we'll have a final on everything.
"Once we have confirmed 100 per cent the venue and the arena and who the opponent is we'll make an announcement.
"But until then I think it's detrimental to all negotiations taking place and it's not fair to the candidates we are looking to fight."

Means Khan would be fighting for a world title coming off a KO loss

Well, why not? That ko loss was ar middleweight against a monster.bogan whisperer wrote:Means Khan would be fighting for a world title coming off a KO loss
If you were Pacquiao, and looking to fight the guy that'll bring in the most $$$. Who would you chose? A guy that is the #4 ranked welterweight on the planet, that has been in with and beaten most of the best welterweights of the last 10 years and is well known by boxing pundits all over the planet... Or a guy that is the #12 ranked welterweight, has fought no one and isn't known at all outside of Australia?
...I know who I'd choose.
