All of that nonsense you made up out of thin air. I don't do barbell benches. I never had an associate who broke the world record in the bench. My homes aren't multi-million dollar mansions. I do wind sprints, but not like a 20-year-old Olympian. I never claimed to be the world's hardest puncher.punchoutsb wrote:I know. We know that you never did any of these things, however it is nonsense that YOU made up, not me. It's nonsense YOU made up.. You're a liar and you can't find a quote of me saying any of those things.. I was very strong and I hit hard, but I never claimed to be the strongest or hardest hitting, though some easily impressed people thought so. Some people think Klitschko hits harder than Joshua. They don't know what they're looking at. You have over-the-top fans and haters. That's just the way it is.

Why would I waste time pulling the quotes up? I'm afraid you're nowhere near important enough for that, but if you're interested in doing some self study you can start in my bench press thread in the training forum. I can't recall where you lied about your overhead pressing strength, but it was one of the threads you were bashing Joe Frazier in...sorry that probably won't narrow it down much. Anyway, you've already admitted you lied about them so that's a good first step for you. Let the healing process start
Re: FAO Kalan
Your an idiot.. Anybody can do more overhead press weight than Frazier could do.. I did overhead presses because they don't build your chest out like barbell benches. It doesn't mean you're strong if you can do twice what Frazier could do.. He was almost as anemic at weight lifting as he was at swimming.

Ali was not the champion after that fight. Definitely not.APerno wrote:
Ali was the champ going into the first fight - Frazier was a sanctioning body poser - so said us at the time - you must have been listening to the 'experts' -> TV, newspapers, magazines, and other selected whores, but we fans weren't, and Frazier knew we weren't, it is why he so badly wanted the fight. - Frazier knew if he wanted us to call him champion he would have to go through Ali, we were not accepting anything less. Sure the sycophants (the above mentioned whores) would call him champ, they could make money off him, but not us. - The title is won and lost in the ring, especially back then.
Re: FAO Kalan
Was Willard the Champion going into the Dempsey fight??? He hadn't done anything to defend the title in 4 years that he held it except one exhibition -- where the title wasn't at stake and there were no judges.. Willard did nothing but tour and play keep away.. Many said Dempsey was the real champion because he was active and knocking top contenders like Fred Fulton dead..
If you're the champion you should be defending the title.. Dempsey went 3 years without defending the title -- so it was also debatable whether he or Tunney was the real Heavyweight Champion when they met.. Dempsey insisted the fight be for 10 rounds.. He wasn't confident he could go 15 with Tunney

True that . . .Frazier put the icing on the cake with a 15th round KD.

Re: FAO Kalan
Pressing 340 pounds overhead is strong, very strong in fact. You've told so many lies trying to impress people you'll never meet on the internet that you have no idea what any of this means. You should really stop.Kalan wrote:Your an idiot.. Anybody can do more overhead press weight than Frazier could do.. Re: FAO Kalan
I don't know... Josh Bryant did a 445-pound overhead press... That's the top elite of course... 340 pounds is only 76% of that.
The overhead press is much more difficult than the bench press so you'll never get the same numbers. But if you have the weight racked up it's much easier than pulling it off the floor and pressing. That's a better measure of full body strength.

I think Frazier only did 160... I believe he failed at 170 and Bob Seagren was only getting started...

I did watch them in theater news reels. That's the point. Now the only fight available on the Internet, that I'm aware of, is the rubber match.

Re: FAO Kalan
And how come the fights are not available on film, Kalan? Why someone like Bill Cayton did not had it. Especially when the two first fights were brutal affairs?Kalan wrote:I did watch them in theater news reels. That's the point. Re: FAO Kalan
Good question... I'd like to know if somebody finds them. They were real good fights.
