Thought I was wrong like, just couldn't think who Maxi was fighting and didn't know what division he was in.

Nurse is fighting Joe Hughes not sure on the date.

So much negativity on here about Warrington not saying this is a great match up but with the change of promoter it's roughly wat I expected. Warren might milk a couple of shows then push josh on to a possible world title shot.

Josh career under matchroom was a shadow of Selby by 2 fights behind. I can understand the reasons y the selby fight didn't happen in the summer but they asked for it since but the difference in Elland Road and arena size ment a loss ( ££££)on matchroom side for the fight.

His a young fighter unbeaten won on the road as the away fighter and now sells lots of tickets. He may never win a world title but his had a career to b proud of English commonwealth british European Champion

Don't mind this fight as long as he fights Selby, Quigg or another champ next.

I must be a 'thick football fan'. I think it's a very interesting fight. It will be Warrington toughest fight. I might just be favouring Kiko to stop him.

Martinez is a class fighter and a test for anyone

He comes to win and is game but he's not what he was. I'd fancy Warrington to outwork him at this stage but a few years back it'd have been a different story.

I agree but it's still a good fight. Obv they aren't bringing the Spaniard over to win

It's an okay fight. Kiko brings tenacity and experience, but his trajectory seems to be that of a spent fighter. Going by the articles I've read about the Osejo fight, many observers thought Martinez was lucky to get a draw.

Reminds me of the current Gradovich, who incidentally beat Osejo by SD in his last fight.

Martinez very much a gatekeeper now I think. Which is probably what Warrington needs. He needs a 'name' to have beaten to get in any sort of title discussion.

Completely agree, when Warrington steps in the ring, it will be 10 months since he last boxed, so at least he's going in with a decent enough opponent and not a warm up fight.

Agree on Nurse, I suspect a foreign bloke will be brought over, could be wrong though.

I think Amagasa is better than the current version of Kiko.
Still one of Warringtons toughest tests but surely he needs to be moving on to world level. He's been given a opportunity (Selby) and turned it down. Boxings a funny old game. Hopefully another opportunity arises but it's not a given.

Agreed on Amagasa.

Was at Warrington v asmagasa and very happy with the fight but Warrington didn't seem to relish being tested.

Ill ask my son if he can get some free VIP tickets to the fight. My lad is mates with Sean and his last fight he got freebies and took a mate cause I was at work. They drank champers all bloody night and had a ringside seat. Free night out for ya Mickey if he can swing it with new promotor

Martinez is a decent match up. Warrington hasn't got the power to dishearten Martinez and he'll keep coming. Martinez is probably past it but it's still a decent enough fight.

On paper it doesn't look too exciting - especially with Martinez, short and stumpy at 122, coming up in weight.

But supposedly sliding veterans can cause surprises. Gomez v Arthur anyone?

Hope Kiko can make it into an absolute war.

It's a show worth going to as most feel the British title chief support fight will deliver.

To be fair he was in a title discussion before this was announced but knocked it back. He was a 24-0 European/British champion with a few decent names on his record, not that different to Selby when he fought for a title in all honesty.

I don't begrudge the Martinez fight given he's not fought in a fair while but I still feel it's something of a step backwards to go from the verge of a fight with Selby to what could amount to two years of softer-touch defences. It's far too early to say but I hope this situation doesn't turn into a repeat of the Warren/Hatton years.

Mentioned previously, more than happy with this fight as come fight night, Josh won't have boxed for something like 10 months. Looking forward to the British title fight and even more so Leather vs. Sutcliffe Jnr. Would like to see another well matched fight on there, even if it's at Area/English level. We've seen the lower level belts produce top quality fights recently, Boy Jones Jrs last two fights spring to mind!

A friend of mine bought 3 £40 tickets to this the other day through Josh's Facebook page. Josh's wife delivered them to York from their home in Leeds, a good drive out, so when they go on about him being a good seller, they do go the extra mile for the buyer.

Could be a fairly entertaining match this, albeit no top class skills on show. Or it could be like quigg vs simion where they went at it but it was kinda one paced and ordinary to watch.

I went Warrington by decision as the fresher fighter

He's just gone up a lot in my estimation. What a great way to treat fans. :TU:
