Rubbish. He's out of shape. Haye wasn't born like that, it's hard training. Bellew is going to get ruined.
Yeah I didn't say he would win, Haye within 2 rounds for me. You don't have to look like a bodybuilder to be fit
No but most professional athletes don't have man books and a muffin top.
That's because Bellew isnt a real HW. Having a beach body doesn't make someone fighting fit and that's what Bellew is banking on, that Haye is just style over substance. I just doubt Haye has trained as hard as he might if he were fighting someone like AJ

I think Bellew looks in about the same condition as he usually does at Cruiser.
He hasn't only added fat, there is additional lean tissue too, percentages are probably about the same.

Foreman II, the older Holmes, Witherspoon, Bowe, Toney... It depends on your definition of fat.
All big heavyweights (aside from Toney) not Light Heavyweights carrying 40 extra pounds. And even to the point, boxing has a long history and you mentioned 5.

Bellow has never been a muscle Mary.
It would have looked odd if he'd suddenly pitched up looking like Evander Holyfield.
He is way out of his depth at HW though, muscles or no muscles.

And all are quality fighters who still managed to compete at top level despite their lack of conditioning.
Nevertheless all were much better fighters in shape, the extra weight did not do anyone any favours.

The point is you can be in shape and be overweight, but there isn't exactly a long list of very good fighters who have done that because being overweight can often be due to a lack of dedication. By the time Bowe was really fat he got out boxed by Billy Zumbrun. Fat has no offensive function, but trimming it just for looks also doesn't mean anything. Losing fat in boxing terms is the by product of smart nutrition (for performance...not looks) and training. Most very good fighters take their craft seriously which is why historically the list of fatties is small.

I am having flashbacks to Lennox Lewis v Glen McCrory. Glen was in similar shape and quoted as being in the best shape of his life after training with the army.
I see a similar result.

Tyson fury is a huge bloke though. Bellew had an opportunity to train to get himself in the best physical shape for the fight, and he chose not to. He's not only giving away weight, he's probably giving away 2 stone or more of muscle mass.
I think Haye is spot on in saying that if you stripped away the body fat, he'd probably make 175.

but you can only put on about 2 pounds of muscle in a month especially over 30 , bellew i would say is about 25% body fat i think he would have to be about 13 stone to see abs

2 pounds of muscle in a month would be terribly difficult, if not impossible for most especially given the style of training a boxer should be performing. I would agree with you that he looks to be a little over 20%. Given his weight, that would put him at a fighting fight weight of a little below 86 kg.

but that is what i mean, he couldn't put that weight on in muscle in such a short time , hence he will look fat

Yes, that's true, took Haye a long time to bulk up to being a proper looking heavy. I'd imagine he spent quite a bit of time just training weights and laying off the cardio, when he was on a break.

Gotcha
In that case it would've been better for him to not put on weight at all. It's better to be the smaller man then to be the smaller man who gained some jiggly fat. It won't help him at all.

Exactly. Most natural bodybuilders would KILL to gain a pound of muscle a month, and all they do is work to gain lean mass. To gain muscle while running, sparring, cardio, etc (none of which are muscle sparing) is extremely difficult. I'm sure Haye did very little boxing work when he was off bulking up.
