On top of that GTank must cope with the partisan crowd, and all that may entail. He cannot afford to let this go to the cards.

GTank deserves credit for taking this challenge. If he passes this test, with FMJ behind him, the young man becomes a significant player.

I wouldn't go that far, Tanzio, but it does mean he's taken another step in that direction.

You could still argue that he's not even top three in his own division. He's a few fights away from 'significant player' but, based wholly on the Pedroza fight, it does look like he has the skill, style, punch & background story to get there.

Still over at the second attempt with less than one oz to lose (still within the two hours so can weigh in a third time).

Mentally this will be affecting Davis (IMO), he is in an alien country with a riled up crowd, he also looks a touch confused with how much more he needs to lose. Poor management from Mayweather bringing him over so late, and letting him weigh in a second time when still over - he still has a lot to learn in the management / promotion side of the game.

Although to go back to earlier points, I think Mayweather was very clever in the press conferences this week, all the talk and pressure has been with him and not the young and inexperienced Davis. Similar to how Ranieri dealt with the media pressure at Leicester last season....dingly ding dingly dong.

Lads can you weigh in three times is this an IBF thing or all governing bodies do a similar thing ?

From what I can see, the sanctioning bodies (WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF, BBBoC) don't explicitly state how many times you can weigh in - though the WBC, WBA, and WBO don't mention anything about missing weight.

I always thought you weigh in, and then you have one or two hours to make weight but can only come back to the scales once. However this is clearly not the case as seen today, which in my opinion is a superior way of doing it, nobody wants weight to overshadow a fight.
