Yes... They had a fight set with Povetkin and got VADA to raise questions about a PED test that easily passed. The WBC chimed in and said they needed to do an "investigation" ... The investigation took months and destroyed the fight, but Povetkin was exonerated... Then the WBC said Povetkin had to fight Stiverne to get to Wilder.. and the day of the fight they came up with 1/10 of a nanogram of Ostarine -- the same crap they said Bute and Browne took... Bute, Browne, and Povetkin all insist they'd never dream of taking Ostarine and had no idea what it is or what it does.

Ortiz has been calling out Wilder for years.. He was supposed to be the next mandatory, but the WBC is in Wilder's pocket.

And Wilder is not looking for Joshua.. He's trying to get the very beatable Parker -- who "won" his fights with Takam and Ruiz with questionable decisions.

Wilder is definatley not a 'hoax', he just hasn't proved his status of a champion

Through 5 title defenses, Wilder is actually on par with Canelo at that point.

I was the only one here ranting about Canelo's disgraceful ride to the top.
What makes Wilder so different?
In fact, Wilder's championship win was 1000000000000 times more valid than Canelo's championship.

I won't watch Wilder until he steps up.
Also, I don't give a F UCK about these B ULLSHIT titles, so it's whatever that he has one.

Please stop with your tired Povetkin BS and conspiracy theories. Everyone is tired of hearing it except you and a few other dumbasses. The only reason the mods don't lock stupid threads about it, or ban the fools that carry it on is because they are entertained by how stupid you guys make yourselves look. Wilder didn't duck Povetkin. The WBC cancelled the fight. As far as Ortiz, calling someone out isn't the same as making an offer. Not looking for someone is not the same as ducking. (Joshua)

Too naive to understand how AH corruption works - Yes it looks very very very probable that Wilder was protected by the WBC of having to fight Povetkin so AH could save and extend his fraud cash cow pretender :TU: :TU: Look at how the WBC turned a blind eye and ignored totally IGNORED Fraudweather's ILLEGAL IV the day before the Pacquiao fight - WBC sells itself like a ho

I wouldn't call him a hoax. He has a dynamite punch. But he is super protected. His handlers know his vulnerabilities. I think Povetkin, and Fury, if he gets back in fighting shape, would have an easy time with him, closing in on him and roughing him up on the inside, taking advantage of his amateurish moves. Wladimir too of course if he's still got it. Joshua too probably tho I'm still not sure about him. He's never fought a real top contender, same as Wilder.

Only a fraud hoax pretender needs to be "super protected" - a true real warrior doesn't want or need ANY protections :TU:

At 24, having been pro for 18 fights, 3 years, and 10 months, he fought someone just as good as any of the 38 opponents Wilder has faced over almost 9 years. I think he should be given more time before he's labelled protected in the same manner as Deontay 'Damon McCreary' Wilder.
Parker is a world champion. Not the best, but he has a world title from a major sanctioning body. If he was a contender without a world title, then fine, fight whoever you want. This is different though. Real world champions are not supposed to be developed slowly with handpicked opponents, although I know this is not unusual these days. If he beats Baby Huey, then he should next fight a mandatory challenger who is a legitimate contender.

I think Povetkin is a formidable fighter (whether or not that is partially due to PEDs or not I'm not qualified to venture an opinion) who has lost only to a peak form Wladimir Klitscko who in terms of physique and style had the perfect tools to beat him. I just wish all this drug-shite would not keep me from watching Povetkin against a top level fighter.

Again, leaving drug controversies aside, he reminds me of one of my all-time favourite Heavyweights, Jerry Quarry in that both are quite short and compact (relatively speaking for their respective eras) conceding height and reach to the elite of the division, both having a good chin, very good technique and power in abundance.

If Povetkin was a hoax, Wilder ofcourse would have loved to fight him, in reality, Povetkin is simply a top contender and Wilder isn't. That's also the reason Wilder continually avoids him.

All sreaming "wilder fight only bums!"

But...take a look at heavyweight rankings here....in my opinion i see only 4-5 Top Heavyweights.

Klitschko
Povetkin
Wilder
Joshua
Maybe...Parker & Ortiz

Pulev showed terrible performance against Klitschko. Big Mouth then go diving a lot.

Then in ranking we had Fighter like Martin...Christian Hammer,Guillermo Jones (Who's that???), Teper
In my opinion in Heavyweight today we had a problem. Handfull Topfighter, then the rest.

Povetkin last 5 Fights...i see...Duhaupas,Wach, Perez,Takam, Charr....
We take a look to Joshuas last Fights...Molina, Breazeale,Martin, Whyte, Cornish
Parker & Ortiz it's the same

When we now call all Fighters after Ortiz in Ranking "Bums" then all Topheavyweights fight bums, why should wilder fell in shame when he fights bums too??

Leaves me with a bad taste to discover that Carl Lewis failed 3 drug tests at the US trials in 88 BEFORE the fateful showdown with Ben Johnson in Seoul. Somehow they were covered up because he was the golden boy.

Boxing needs to and can get this issue cleared. Povetkin may just be a patsy. We don't know, but someone does.
