Outside Puerto Rico, I'm struggling to think of a Caribbean country that fits the bill. I know Howard Eastman had a couple of fights out there for minor trinkets late on in his career.

Can't think of any African country other than SA, either. We've had plenty of African fighters fight over here though.

Damaen Kelly fought out in Columbia, not sure if that was mentioned already
Roy Gumbs fought out in South Korea


One of the oddest world title fights has to be Ncita vs Benichou out in Israel. I mean, what thought process did they go through for that?

In 1913, Bombadier Billy Wells of Ealing, contested the European heavyweight title against the legendary Geores Carpentier in Feestpaleis, Ghent, Oost-Vlaanderen, Belgium.

Eddie Avoth had a failed attempt at the European LHW title in 1969, in Zagreb Croatia

Choi Tseveenpurev fought, surprisingly only once, in Mongolia.
Contested the PABA super bantamweight title in Indonesia, and the IBO title in Singapore

Peter Buckley fought for the WBA Inter-Continental super bantamweight title in Austria

Evan Armstrong for the commonwealth in Ghana

Johnny Nelsons early WBF reign took him to S Africe, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, Thailand and Brazil

Fred Buckland, Billy Fairclough and Pat Clancy fought in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia)
