Sure beats a lot of lame and teeny Heavyweight Title Challengers from the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s:

Don Cockell... Roland LaStarza... Tom McNeely... Pete Rademacher... Roy Harris... Brian London... Henry Cooper... Karl Mildenbugger... Alfredo Evangelista... Chuck Wepner... Jean Pierre Coopman... Leon Stinks... Terry Daniels... Dave Zyglewitz... Manuel Ramos... Ron Stander... Richard Dunn...

I can’t even believe some of those little fart sacks got title shots at Rocky, Patterson, Frazier, or Ali
Wilder and Haye should be loads lower, Chagaev higher in my opinion, but overall I pretty much agree with this heavyweight list.

Talent rich 90's my ass...

Bowe was walking around -- but lurching into walls and street lamps as he did so -- and mumbling and falling down a lot... Tyson was sh!tcanned by Buster Douglas when he was 23 -- that fight says it all about Mike, because he was knocked out 5 times and only saved from a 6th KO loss by eating an ear... Holyfield lost to John Ruiz and that says it all about Evan Fields... Roy Jones wasn't close to being a Heavyweight but the turtle slow Ruiz hasn't hit Roy yet.

So that leaves Lennox Lewis.. Tyson, Holyfield, and Bowe ducked Lewis for well over 10 years... And the sucking up Tyson did to Lewis after he was dominated and blasted out by the Brit almost made me throw up... "You're a truly great fighter...so masterful and such precision." a shameful display.

Lewis was a great Heavyweight...but also a coward. He was losing the Klitschko fight on all scorecards after 6 -- promised VK a rematch for months -- but then reneged when Vitali was made his mandatory challenger and he title was going to be stripped if he didn't go through with the rematch.

Lennox would knock AJ the fornicate out, no doubt whatsoever. And I bet old man Klitschko can still do it too.

Not sure how good Joshua will turn out to be, but when the Showtime camera showed Holyfield & Lewis right next to each other after the fight, Holyfield was standing/applauding and Lennox was sitting down looking rather glum.

I think Lennox is rather envious of all the attention Anthony Joshua is getting right now!! :verysad:

HAHAHAHA...did you see the look that Lenox gave AJ? Don't tell me he's not going home tonight and hitting the heavy bag thinking he could get back in there. That was a look of hatred. How old is Lennox. I'd love to see him come back for one more.

Now that i think about it, Lennox was an Emmanuel Stewart fighter like Wlad so I think that's probably why he wasn't joining in on the backslapping.

Prime Lennox wouldn't have been in a life and death war with this version of Wlad. Not a chance.

Lennox > Joshua.

Fair enough, but I don't think AJ has hit his prime yet.

Lewis would have been knocked out if Wladimir could avoid cuts... Lewis was fat and slow at that age... AJ would stretch Lewis

Every thread that mentions Lennox Lewis must desend into a tedious, repetitive argument over who really won his fight with Vitali.

- Joshua looks good
- He is not better than Lewis yet, he hasn't been 12 rounds, outboxed a dangerous foe, proven his toughness in a battle - yet.
- We'll know more after Saturday
- Lewis was on top in the Vitali fight whilst well past his prime and stopped him in cuts - there are other examples of fighters losing the first couple of rounds and winning fights
Lewis didn't stop Vitali legitimately on cuts... He fouled the crap out of VK because he was desperate... That fight should have gone to the scorecards... First 20 seconds of the 3rd is when all the damage was done... a right hand thumb strike and a right hand palm slash while LL was holding and hitting.

Holyfield gave AJ a standing ovation, Lewis looked upset that AJ is succeeding.

Couldn't agree more with the words above. Lewis would snap back that sitting target of a head at will and stop him in his tracks. He would have brought it to that crisis point sooner and finished it.

Aj is physicly height chin and powerwise on top of lewis. Lewis was great at beating smaller guys, same as wlad. Once lewis and wlad faced guys their own size like vitaly, fury or aj suddenly they started losing

Aj kos prime lewis
